Toyota India Shatters Records with 3.26 Lakh Sales in 2024, Showcasing a 40% Surge

Bangalore – Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has achieved an unprecedented milestone by recording its highest-ever calendar year sales in 2024. The company sold 3,26,329 units, reflecting an impressive 40% growth over the 2,33,346 units sold in 2023.

This remarkable performance underscores TKM’s commitment to customer satisfaction, innovation, and sustainability, marking a significant step forward in India’s automotive landscape. Domestic sales accounted for 3,00,159 units, while exports contributed 26,232 units, reinforcing the company’s dedication to the ‘Make in India’ initiative.

December Delivers a Strong Finish

The momentum carried into December 2024, where TKM sold 29,529 units, a 29% year-on-year increase from December 2023’s 22,867 units. Domestic sales reached 24,887 units, complemented by 4,642 units exported.

Key Drivers of Growth in 2024

  1. SUVs and MPVs Dominate: The Innova Hycross, Urban Cruiser Hyryder, and Hilux spearheaded growth in the SUV and MPV segments, which saw a 20% rise compared to 2023.
  2. New Launches: The Urban Cruiser Taisor, All-New Camry Hybrid, and special editions like the Fortuner Leader Edition and Innova Crysta drew in new customers.
  3. Enhanced Customer Experience: With over 1,110 touchpoints nationwide, TKM strengthened accessibility. Innovations like Toyota Used Car Outlets (TUCO) and the “T CARE” initiative offered seamless services, boosting customer satisfaction.
