Maruti Suzuki and Adobe Join Forces to Deliver Faster Websites and AI-Powered Customer Experiences

New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki has expanded its digital transformation efforts through a partnership with Adobe, aiming to deliver faster websites, personalised customer interactions and more connected services throughout the vehicle ownership journey. The initiative brings together customer data, digital content and technology platforms across the automaker’s marketing, sales, service and ownership operations.

The collaboration comes as India’s largest automobile manufacturer adapts to changing consumer expectations, particularly among younger, digitally connected buyers. With Generation Z becoming an increasingly important customer segment, Maruti Suzuki is seeking to make its digital platforms more responsive, accessible and relevant to individual preferences.

The transformation extends beyond a conventional website redesign. It involves modernising the company’s underlying digital infrastructure, integrating legacy systems and creating a unified foundation capable of supporting customer interactions across multiple business functions.

Nexa and Arena Websites Get Faster, More Interactive

A major component of the transformation involves the modernisation of Maruti Suzuki’s brand websites using Adobe Experience Manager Sites as a Cloud Service, supported by Adobe Edge Delivery Services.

According to the companies, several websites have already been migrated to the updated infrastructure, including platforms associated with Maruti Suzuki’s Nexa and Arena retail channels.

The upgraded platforms are reported to deliver sub-second page loading times, improved search engine optimisation (SEO) performance and interactive features such as 3D virtual showrooms. These enhancements are intended to make vehicle research and online browsing more convenient for prospective buyers.

For customers accustomed to accessing information almost instantly, even a few additional seconds of loading time can feel like an unnecessarily long pit stop.

Beyond improvements in website performance, the project addresses the more complicated task of connecting Maruti Suzuki’s existing technology systems.

Mr Shobhit Mittal, Executive Vice President, Digital Enterprise at Maruti Suzuki, highlighted the integration challenges involved in the project.

“One of the biggest challenges during Maruti Suzuki’s website revamp was integrating multiple legacy systems. We had to ensure data consistency and smooth connectivity across platforms while delivering a modern, intuitive interface.”

Adobe’s live “See-to-Believe” proof of concept played an important role in the company’s decision-making process, allowing Maruti Suzuki to assess the platform’s ability to handle complex integrations and deliver personalised digital experiences at scale.

Unified Customer Data to Connect Sales and After-Sales Services

Another important element of the partnership is Adobe Experience Platform, which enables Maruti Suzuki to bring together customer profiles and information in real time.

The objective is to provide a more consistent understanding of customer interactions across different touchpoints, including vehicle enquiries, marketing campaigns, dealership engagement, service requirements and ownership-related activities.

By connecting previously fragmented information, Maruti Suzuki aims to improve the coordination of marketing initiatives, loyalty programmes and service communications across its business operations.

The unified platform is also expected to support more relevant customer engagement, allowing the company to tailor communications and digital interactions according to individual requirements and stages of vehicle ownership.

Mr Sunil Kakkar, Director of Corporate Planning and Executive Committee Member at Maruti Suzuki, said the collaboration would help the company respond more effectively to changing market expectations.

“This collaboration has enabled us to respond to the market shifts very effectively, innovate faster and create a meaningful experience that strengthens our leadership in the quickly evolving digital landscape, so we can deliver superior products with high value while shaping the future of the automotive ecosystem,”

Artificial Intelligence to Shape Future Customer Interactions

Maruti Suzuki is also working towards greater use of artificial intelligence in its customer engagement strategy.

The company intends to leverage Adobe’s capabilities in real-time customer journey orchestration, next-best-action triggers and content supply chain optimisation. These technologies are designed to help businesses deliver relevant content and services based on customer behaviour and interactions.

Maruti Suzuki is additionally exploring emerging Adobe technologies, including Adobe Brand Visibility, formerly known as Adobe LLM Optimizer, Adobe Brand Concierge and AI agents.

These solutions could eventually support more personalised online experiences, improve internal operational efficiency and help the automaker adapt to changing methods of digital information discovery.

However, the company has not announced a specific implementation timeline for these emerging AI-driven capabilities.

Adobe Professional Services Supports Implementation

The digital modernisation programme has also involved Adobe Professional Services, including Adobe Ultimate Success, which has supported implementation, governance and the expansion of the technology platforms.

The collaboration has focused on integrating complex systems while maintaining consistency across Maruti Suzuki’s digital ecosystem.

Dr Tapan Sahoo, Senior Executive Officer of Digital Enterprise at Maruti Suzuki, emphasised the importance of coordination between the organisations.

“Transformation is about people coming together with a shared vision, collaborating across teams and co-creating value for customers,”

“That is what our partnership with Adobe enables us to do.”

The companies have not disclosed the financial value of the partnership or specific investment figures associated with the transformation.

Digital Experience Becomes an Important Part of Vehicle Ownership

Maruti Suzuki’s latest technology initiative reflects the increasing importance of digital interactions in the automotive industry, where the relationship between manufacturers and customers extends well beyond the initial vehicle purchase.

From researching a new car and exploring its features to scheduling maintenance and accessing ownership services, digital platforms are becoming an important part of the overall customer experience.

For Maruti Suzuki, the Adobe partnership represents an effort to connect these interactions through a more integrated technology ecosystem while preparing for future developments in artificial intelligence and personalised services.

The broader challenge will be ensuring that improvements in digital engagement translate into consistently better experiences for customers, both online and at physical dealerships. As India’s automotive market becomes increasingly technology-driven, the quality of a manufacturer’s digital ecosystem could become almost as important to customer satisfaction as the vehicles themselves.
