The order, comprising 27 A350-1000s and six A350-900s, not only underscores Korean Air’s commitment to passenger comfort and environmental stewardship but also positions the carrier as a frontrunner in harnessing cutting-edge aviation technology.

The A350, renowned for its unparalleled range, will enable Korean Air to operate its extensive network of intercontinental routes more efficiently, boasting a 25% reduction in both fuel consumption and carbon emissions compared to its predecessors. This acquisition heralds a new era for the airline, offering the potential to explore novel long-haul destinations while advancing its operational efficiencies and sustainability goals.

Jason Yoo, Korean Air’s Chief Safety and Operating Officer and EVP, emphasized the A350’s alignment with the airline’s strategic vision, noting its exceptional range, fuel efficiency, and passenger comfort as key factors in the decision. “Introducing the A350 to our fleet marks a significant step forward in enhancing our global service and underscores our commitment to providing an unparalleled travel experience for our passengers,” Yoo stated.

Benoit de Saint Exupéry, EVP Sales, Commercial Aircraft at Airbus, lauded the deal as a testament to the A350’s status as a global leader in long-range travel. “Korean Air’s choice of the A350 reflects its confidence in our technology and its vision for a more efficient, sustainable future in aviation. As of February, the A350 Family had secured 1,240 orders from 59 customers globally, a testament to its leading position in the market.
