Ford Fund Transforms into Ford Philanthropy, Continues Legacy of Global Community Impact

DEARBORN, Mich., April 29, 2024 — In a significant brand transformation, the Ford Motor Company Fund, historically known as the philanthropic arm of Ford Motor Company, has officially rebranded to Ford Philanthropy. This change heralds a new era while celebrating a robust legacy of charitable engagement worldwide that dates back to 1949. With an impressive tally of $2.3 billion in philanthropic contributions, Ford Philanthropy is poised to continue its mission of fostering substantial community development.

The rebranding initiative not only introduces a new name but also reinforces Ford’s ongoing commitment to driving societal progress. The annual Impact Report released alongside the rebrand highlights the extent of this impact: in 2023 alone, Ford Philanthropy contributed $73.7 million to various causes, directly benefiting over 3.5 million individuals globally. This support spans across partnerships with 470 nonprofits and community organizations and is further amplified by the active participation of Ford employees who logged 55,000 volunteer hours in 31 countries.

Mary Culler, President of Ford Philanthropy, emphasized the deep roots of philanthropy within the company’s ethos. “Giving back is more than a tradition at Ford—it’s a foundational aspect of our identity,” Culler stated. “This rebrand is not just about a new name, but about better reflecting our core mission to advance communities and uplift individuals through meaningful partnerships and innovative solutions.”

Despite the new branding, Ford Philanthropy’s core strategies remain steadfast. The organization continues to leverage Ford’s expertise in mobility to enhance access to essential services, bolster educational initiatives for future workforces, and promote entrepreneurship.
