Toyota US launches 2024 bZ4X with Advanced Features and Complimentary Charging

PLANO, Texas – Toyota has launched its latest Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), the 2024 bZ4X, featuring a host of upgrades aimed at enhancing convenience and charging capability. This electric SUV, available in XLE and Limited grades, offers a combination of bold design and advanced technology, providing an electrifying driving experience for both daily commutes and longer journeys.

Key Updates to the 2024 Model:

  • Standard dual-voltage charging cable for both XLE and Limited grades, facilitating Level One and Level Two charging.
  • Improved Multi-Information Display (MID) showing State of Charge, estimated charge time to 80%, and vehicle range.
  • Enhanced battery thermal system for faster DC charging in cold temperatures.
  • Advanced Park feature now standard on Limited grade, aiding in hands-free parking.
  • 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat and power rear lift gate now standard on XLE grade.

Complimentary Charging Offer:
Buyers of the new 2024 Toyota bZ4X will receive one year of complimentary charging at EVgo public charging stations nationwide, accessible through the Toyota App.

Pricing and Availability:
The bZ4X starts at $43,070 for the XLE grade and $47,180 for the Limited grade, with models expected to arrive at U.S. dealerships from January 2024.

Design and Comfort:
The 2024 bZ4X boasts a unique design with a familiar SUV feel. It is longer than the RAV4 and features a spacious interior with ample legroom and cargo space. The vehicle is available in various colors, including Black, Heavy Metal, Supersonic Red, Elemental Silver Metallic, and Windchill Pearl.

Performance:
The bZ4X offers smooth and powerful driving performance, thanks to its e-TNGA platform. It is available in Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) and All-Wheel Drive (AWD) options, with horsepower ratings of 201 for FWD and 214 for AWD. The vehicle is designed to provide an exhilarating driving experience with instant torque and impressive handling.

Charging Options:
The bZ4X comes with a J1772/CCS1 connector for versatile charging options. It can be fully charged in about 9.5 hours using a Level 2 charger. Additionally, new owners can purchase a ChargePoint® Home Flex Level 2 charger through Toyota dealerships or directly from ChargePoint.

Interior Features:
The vehicle’s interior includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen Toyota Audio Multimedia system, dual Bluetooth phone connectivity, and standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. The Limited grade offers additional features like the Toyota Digital Key and enhanced Remote Connect services.

Safety:
Equipped with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 (TSS 3.0), the bZ4X includes advanced safety features like a Pre-Collision System, Lane Departure Alert, and Blind Spot Monitor.

Warranty and Maintenance:
Toyota’s 36-month/36,000-mile basic new-vehicle warranty applies, with additional warranties covering the powertrain and corrosion. The Electric Vehicle Driving Components are covered for 8 years or 100,000 miles. ToyotaCare also offers factory-scheduled maintenance for two years or 25,000 miles and three years of Roadside Assistance.
