Mumbai: Tata.Cars has introduced the Tata Sierra #Dark in India, expanding the recently launched Sierra range with a black-themed exterior, a Violet Eclipse cabin and distinctive Purple Chrome detailing. Prices for the Sierra #Dark start at ₹13.99 lakh.
The new edition brings the company’s established #Dark treatment to the Sierra while retaining the SUV’s overall silhouette, equipment package and positioning in the premium mid-size SUV segment.
At the centre of the visual changes is a specially curated Friesian Black exterior finish, complemented by an all-black treatment intended to emphasise the Sierra’s muscular proportions and road presence.
Inside, the Sierra #Dark receives a Violet Eclipse interior theme along with an all-black leatherette cabin. Tata has also introduced Purple Chrome accents across selected elements, adding contrast to what would otherwise be a thoroughly monochrome affair.
The styling changes are intended to distinguish the #Dark version from the standard Sierra range without altering the fundamental design of the vehicle.

Available Across Multiple Sierra Variants
The Sierra #Dark treatment will be offered across the recently introduced Sierra Legend Series, including the Pure L, Pure L (O), Pure + L and Adventure + L personas.
It will also be available on the higher-specification Accomplished and Accomplished + personas, giving buyers access to the blacked-out styling across a relatively broad section of the Sierra line-up.
Tata says the #Dark versions retain the complete feature package associated with their respective Sierra variants, with the changes centred primarily on exterior and interior presentation.
Sierra Joins Tata’s Established #Dark Line-Up
The #Dark identity has become a recurring design theme across Tata’s passenger vehicle portfolio, typically combining dark exterior finishes, blacked-out trim and model-specific cabin treatments.
For the Sierra, however, Tata has added Purple Chrome elements and the Violet Eclipse interior theme to give the edition a more individual identity rather than simply dipping the SUV in black paint and calling it a day.
The arrival of the Sierra #Dark also gives Tata another styling-led derivative in the premium mid-SUV space, where buyers increasingly have a choice not only between engines, features and variants, but also between increasingly elaborate design packages.
With the Sierra #Dark, Tata is using one of its most recognisable modern nameplates to extend the reach of its established #Dark branding. The mechanical and feature foundations remain those of the Sierra, but the visual treatment gives buyers another way to distinguish their SUV in an increasingly crowded segment.
