Nissan Goes Wild: From Baja Battles to Polar Expeditions, Catch the Adventure Fever at Chicago Auto Show

CHICAGO – Nissan is setting the stage for an adrenaline-pumping display at the 2024 Chicago Auto Show, showcasing two remarkable vehicles that redefine the boundaries of automotive adventure. Attendees will be treated to the off-road prowess of a new Frontier variant and the groundbreaking journey of an Ariya electric crossover that boldly ventured from pole to pole.

The essence of desert racing is captured and brought to the streets with the introduction of the Nissan Frontier Forsberg Edition. This limited-edition package draws inspiration from Forsberg Racing’s victorious run in the recent NORRA 500 race, bringing a piece of the desert thrill right to your driveway.

Equipped with a suite of Nismo Off Road enhancements such as 17-inch Axis Beadlock wheels, rock sliders, and a roof rack complete with LED lighting, this package is not just about looks. It’s backed by serious off-road capability, including a NISMO lift kit, high-performance shocks, Yokohama Geolandar X-AT tires, and a NISMO cat-back exhaust, all for an MSRP of $9,999 (INR 8.30 lakh). Available in the fall of 2024, this dealer-installed accessory makes the Frontier not just a truck, but a testament to desert racing glory.

In an extraordinary demonstration of electric vehicle endurance, the Ariya e-4ORCE makes its auto show debut after an epic journey from the North Pole to the South Pole. Piloted by the adventurous husband-and-wife team, Chris and Julie Ramsey, the Ariya covered over 18,000 miles across some of the planet’s most challenging terrains, proving that EVs can indeed thrive in extreme conditions.

With minimal modifications, the Ariya showcased the robust capabilities of electric vehicles, equipped with widened fenders for 39-inch BF Goodrich tires to conquer snow and ice, and powered by a combination of wind and solar energy. This journey not only highlighted the Ariya’s exceptional performance but also Nissan’s commitment to sustainable adventuring.

The 2024 Frontier lineup offers something for every truck enthusiast, from the luxurious SL grade with premium features to the rugged Pro-X and Pro-4X models for off-road escapades, and the nostalgic Hardbody Edition package. Starting at $30,030 (INR 24.94 lakh), the Frontier is ready to tackle any adventure.

Nissan’s display at the Chicago Auto Show is a clear message: whether it’s conquering desert races or embarking on polar expeditions, Nissan is pushing the limits of what’s possible in automotive adventure. So, gear up, adventure seekers, and prepare to catch the adventure fever with Nissan’s latest offerings.
