Lexus Partners JAOS to launch GX 550 “Overtrail” and LX 600 “Offroad”

In a groundbreaking collaboration, JAOS Corporation and Lexus are set to unveil their latest creations at the 2024 Tokyo Auto Salon, from January 12th to 14th. The spotlight is on the customized GX 550 “Overtrail” JAOS version and the LX 600 “Offroad” Team JAOS 2023 version. Both vehicles have made their mark by completing the grueling 2,110 km course of the 2023 BAJA 1000. The exhibition will take place at the JAOS booth in East Hall 7, No.702.

Lexus, known for its commitment to diverse and lifestyle-oriented model lineups, is on the verge of releasing the new GX in Japan. Tagged as “The Premium Off-Roader,” this model is designed for thrill-seekers and urban adventurers alike. The GX 550 “Overtrail” is a shining example of this range, embodying the “Overtrail Project” essence, which aims to blend outdoor enjoyment with environmental consciousness.

Since its inception in 1985, JAOS has been dedicated to developing and selling 4WD & SUV parts, with a vision encapsulated in the slogan “Experience a New Adventure.” The GX 550 “Overtrail” JAOS version is the fruit of this collaboration, designed to navigate challenging terrains while fostering the adventurous spirit in its users.

This concept model features a rugged bumper made of lightweight ABS resin, typical of heavy-duty off-road vehicles. It’s equipped with standard off-road components like fender garnishes, tube-style side steps, large mudguards, and aluminum skid plates. The vehicle’s appeal is further enhanced by a roof rack, a lift kit, and 18-inch wheels, all contributing to its superior off-road capability and dynamic performance.

The GX 550 “Overtrail” JAOS version boasts an array of customizations:

  • JAOS Front Bumper Guard with LED Lamp
  • JAOS Skid Plate Type R
  • JAOS Fender Garnish Type X
  • JAOS Side Step Black
  • JAOS Flat Rack for Roof Rail
  • JAOS Mud Guard III Black
  • JAOS TRIBE CROSS wheels
  • BATTLEZ Lift Kit VFCA with adjustable dampers
  • TOYO TIRES OPEN COUNTRY A/T III

This showcase at the Tokyo Auto Salon not only highlights the prowess of these vehicles but also underlines the joy and possibilities of vehicle customization, catering to a lifestyle that’s both adventurous and environmentally aware.
