Honda Cars India Zooms Past Records: Sales Surge Over 17%, Exports Skyrocket by 510%

New Delhi, March 1, 2024 – In a remarkable show of strength, Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL), a stalwart in the premium car segment, has left market watchers in awe as it announced a whopping 17% surge in domestic sales for February 2024, selling 7,142 units. But the real jaw-dropper comes from its export figures, which have seen an unprecedented 510% growth, reaching a pinnacle with 5,936 units exported in the same month.

This historic achievement marks the company’s highest ever monthly export volume, with Honda’s Indian-manufactured vehicles racing off to various global markets and setting a new benchmark for the brand’s international appeal.

Yuichi Murata, Director of Marketing & Sales at HCIL, couldn’t hide his excitement, stating, “Our February performance was right on track, perfectly aligned with our strategic plans. The Honda Elevate continues to soar, further cementing its market dominance. Not to be outdone, our ever-reliable Honda City and Amaze have also shown impressive performances in their categories. And, let’s not forget our stellar export figures which have truly been off the charts.”

This surge in sales and exports is a significant leap from February 2023’s figures, where HCIL reported 6,086 domestic sales and 973 units exported. The company’s growth trajectory is not just a testament to the quality and appeal of its vehicles but also highlights India’s rising prominence as a global manufacturing hub.
