Hyundai July 2026 Sales Rise 25.4% to Record 75,360 Units; Exports Jump 31.4%

Gurugram: Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) reported its highest-ever monthly sales in July 2026, delivering 75,360 vehicles across domestic and export markets, a 25.4% increase year-on-year.

The automaker sold 54,210 vehicles in the domestic market during the month, representing a 23.3% year-on-year increase. Hyundai said this was its highest-ever domestic sales figure for the month of July.

Exports provided an even stronger boost, rising 31.4% year-on-year to 21,150 units. The company said July marked its highest monthly export volume in more than 100 months, adding another milestone to what was already a rather busy record book.

Creta, i20 Post Their Best Monthly Sales of 2026

The Hyundai Creta remained a key volume driver, recording sales of 18,088 units in July. This was the SUV’s highest monthly sales figure during calendar year 2026.

The Hyundai i20 also posted its strongest monthly performance of the year, with 6,738 units sold in July 2026.

The performance of the two models came as HMIL began the new quarter with growth across both its domestic business and overseas shipments.

Commenting on the July 2026 sales performance, Tarun Garg, MD & CEO – HMIL, said, “We have kicked off the new quarter on a strong note. Achieving 75,360 total sales (domestic + exports; up 25.4% YoY), our highest-ever monthly volume since inception, underscores the immense trust consumers place in brand Hyundai. Furthermore, delivering 21,150 export units (up 31.4% YoY), our highest in more than 100 months, reinforces our relentless commitment to Make-in-India, Made-for-the-World.”

Exports Add Momentum to Hyundai’s July Performance

The sharp rise in exports was notable alongside the domestic sales increase. With 21,150 units shipped overseas, exports accounted for a significant portion of Hyundai’s overall July volumes and recorded a faster year-on-year growth rate than domestic sales.

The July numbers also underline the continuing importance of SUVs such as the Creta to Hyundai’s India portfolio, while the i20’s calendar-year high indicates continued demand in the hatchback segment.

For Hyundai Motor India, the combination of record overall volumes, double-digit domestic growth and its strongest export performance in more than eight years gives the company a solid start to the quarter. The coming months will show whether that momentum can be sustained as automakers compete for buyers across India’s increasingly crowded passenger vehicle market.
