Porsche Reports 11% Increase in Regional Sales, Highlighting a Strong Year in Middle East, Africa, & India

Porsche has announced a significant increase in its car sales within the Middle East, Africa, and India region for the calendar year 2023. The prestigious car manufacturer reported an 11% growth compared to the previous year, marking a substantial 47% increase since 2020. A total of 9,135 new Porsche cars were delivered in the region, indicating a robust year for the company.

Dr. Manfred Bräunl, Chief Executive Officer of Porsche Middle East and Africa FZE, attributed this success to the company’s outstanding product line-up and the dedicated efforts of their importers and staff. He expressed pride in the team’s hard work, which has consistently delivered “dreams” to Porsche customers. The year 2023 was notable for its range of exciting events and product launches, coinciding with the celebration of 75 years of Porsche sports cars.

The Porsche Cayenne maintained its status as the region’s best-selling model, especially notable in a year that witnessed the launch of an updated version of the vehicle. The Taycan all-electric sports saloon also saw a remarkable 80% growth in sales compared to the previous year.

The brand’s community engagement was evident in the success of the third Icons of Porsche festival held in Dubai in November. The event attracted over 27,000 fans, nearly double the attendance from the previous year. It featured the global debut of the new Panamera and celebrated 60 years of the iconic 911 model alongside Porsche’s 75th anniversary.

In addition to these achievements, Porsche had a significant presence at the Geneva International Motor Show in Qatar in September, where the all-electric Mission X hypercar concept and the 911 S/T were unveiled. The year also saw numerous ‘Festival of Dreams’ events across the region, facility inaugurations, and upgrades, including the opening of five facilities in India in a single week.

Looking ahead to 2024, Dr. Bräunl anticipates another exciting year with several major product launches, including all-electric Macan and Taycan models. The company plans to continue its momentum with new facility openings throughout the region, promising an ‘electrifying’ year ahead for Porsche and its customers.

Porsche Middle East and Africa FZE (PME) operates as a fully owned subsidiary of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, serving 16 markets across the Middle East, Africa, and India. The subsidiary is headquartered in the Dubai Silicon Oasis zone in the United Arab Emirates.
