LMG Manufacturing partners BMW & Jaya Hind Industries to open i-Force plant in Germany

In a significant stride for the automotive supply industry, LMG Manufacturing GmbH, a subsidiary of JHI International BV under the Dr. Abhay Firodia Group of Companies, unveiled its cutting-edge production hall in Hoym/Seeland, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. This inauguration, accomplished within a swift ten-month construction period, marks a pivotal moment in German-Indian industrial collaboration.

Sven Schulze, Saxony-Anhalt’s Minister for Economic Affairs, Tourism, Agriculture, and Forestry, highlighted the strategic advantages of the region, citing its central location and proximity to major automotive manufacturers as key factors. He lauded LMG Hoym’s innovative response to the industry’s evolving structural demands and appreciated the state’s role in expediting the project, which promises new employment opportunities and regional economic growth.

Prasan Firodia, Managing Director of Jaya Hind Industries Private Limited, India, emphasized the 75-year legacy of German-Indian partnership. He noted that Jaya Hind Industries’ technical prowess and strong technology integration are propelling LMG into the electromobility era.

The expansion at Hoym was marked by rapid progress, with the groundbreaking in March 2023 and the topping-out in May 2023. The production hall’s inauguration signifies the start of series production. Remarkably, in just nine months, LMG’s workforce expanded from 140 to 240 employees, establishing the company as a key employer in the region.

Markus Bauer, District Administrator of the Salzland district, praised LMG for adopting innovative mobility technologies and for fitting seamlessly into the Salzland district’s vision as a business, residential, and scientific hub.

A significant achievement for LMG is its transition from manual to fully automated manufacturing processes. This shift not only enhances production efficiency but also bolsters LMG’s market competitiveness. The company has established a unique selling point in Europe by integrating aluminum die-casting with plastic injection molding. Additionally, LMG’s collaboration with Jaya Hind Industries in India extends to producing casting and punching tools, mold inserts, and milling devices.

LMG Managing Director Clemens von Reyher attributes the company’s success to the dedicated cooperation of its employees and the support from their main customer, BMW AG. Dr. Wolfgang Blümlhuber, a division manager at BMW, commended LMG for becoming a vital Tier 1 supplier. Dr. Robert Franke, Managing Director of the investment and marketing company Sachsen-Anhalt mbH (IMG), also congratulated LMG, noting the plant’s expansion as a significant step in the automotive sector’s transformation. He expressed high hopes for LMG’s parts from Hoym being included in every German electric vehicle.
