Gurugram — Hyundai Motor India Limited has given its popular compact SUV a darker, bolder personality with the launch of the new Venue Knight. If cars could attend fashion week, this one would clearly arrive in an all-black tuxedo—complete with just enough flair to make heads turn at every traffic signal.
Building on the success of its Knight range, which has already clocked over 92,000 units since 2022, Hyundai is doubling down on a design philosophy that celebrates black as more than just a colour—it’s an attitude. The Venue Knight takes the familiar silhouette of the Hyundai Venue and adds a layer of visual drama through blacked-out styling elements and premium interior detailing.

At first glance, the Venue Knight makes its intentions clear. The front grille, skid plates, roof rails, ORVMs and even the Hyundai logo are finished in black, creating a cohesive and stealthy look. Red brake calipers add a sporty contrast, while exclusive Knight badging ensures you won’t mistake it for just another Venue in the parking lot.
Step inside, and the theme continues with an all-black cabin accented by subtle brass inserts—a combination that tries to balance elegance with aggression. The result is a cabin that feels premium without trying too hard, much like a well-tailored suit with a statement watch.
Under the hood, Hyundai isn’t limiting choice. The Venue Knight is offered with multiple powertrain options, including the 1.2-litre MPi petrol, 1.0-litre turbo GDi petrol with DCT, and the 1.5-litre CRDi diesel with both manual and automatic transmissions. In short, whether you prefer efficiency, performance, or a bit of both, Hyundai is making sure the Knight suits your driving style as much as your aesthetic taste.
But the update isn’t just skin deep. In a move that acknowledges India’s increasingly tech-savvy drivers—and perhaps their growing interest in documenting every road trip and unexpected “adventure”—Hyundai has introduced a dashcam in select variants like HX6T, HX10 and N10. The system supports multiple recording modes including driving, emergency events, vacation logs, and even on-demand video downloads directly to your smartphone. Because sometimes, the best stories from Indian roads need proof.
Adding further freshness to the lineup, Hyundai has also introduced two new matte shades—Hazel Blue Matte and Mystic Sapphire Matte—ensuring that even outside the Knight edition, the Venue continues to evolve visually.
Commenting on the launch, Amit Dhaundiyal, Head of Product Strategy & Planning at Hyundai Motor India, highlighted that the Venue Knight reflects the aspirations of customers who want their cars to mirror their personality. And clearly, for many buyers, that personality now includes a strong preference for bold styling with a hint of mystery.
With this launch, Hyundai strengthens its already competitive SUV portfolio in India, giving buyers yet another reason to consider the Venue—especially if they believe black isn’t just a colour, but a lifestyle choice.
