Bengaluru: Krafton India has announced that Ferrari will make its first appearance in Battlegrounds Mobile India as part of the BGMI 4.5 Update, which is scheduled to launch on July 16, 2026.
The collaboration will introduce four Ferrari models — the Roma, Purosangue, LaFerrari and SF90 XX Spider — as collectible in-game vehicles available in multiple colour options through in-app purchases. A Ferrari-themed photo zone, interactive installations and exclusive teammate animations will also be added to the game.
The partnership stems from a broader global agreement between Krafton Inc. and Scuderia Ferrari HP, Ferrari’s Formula 1 team. It brings the Italian manufacturer’s road-car design and motorsport identity into BGMI for the first time.
For BGMI’s reported 260 million players in India, the update will place one of motoring’s most recognisable emblems — Ferrari’s Prancing Horse — inside the battle royale game. It may not help players outrun the shrinking play zone, but it should at least make the journey considerably more stylish.
Four Ferrari Models Join BGMI
The Ferrari Roma will represent the grand-touring end of the line-up, combining the brand’s performance credentials with a relatively restrained design approach.
The Ferrari Purosangue, the company’s first SUV, will bring a high-riding and more practical body style to the collection — practical, at least by Ferrari standards.
The LaFerrari will serve as the hypercar offering. The limited-production model represents one of the most advanced road cars developed by the manufacturer.
Completing the line-up is the Ferrari SF90 XX Spider, an open-top plug-in hybrid supercar designed to bridge the gap between road-going performance and track-focused engineering.
Krafton India said each vehicle would be recreated with visual detail intended to reflect the design of its real-world counterpart. The models will be offered in multiple signature colour variants.
Ferrari-Themed Photo Zone and Animations
Beyond the vehicles, the BGMI 4.5 Update will introduce a dedicated Ferrari-themed photo zone within the game’s map.
The area will combine Ferrari design elements with BGMI’s existing environments, allowing players to interact with the vehicles and themed installations. Exclusive animations involving teammates will also be included, creating additional opportunities for social interaction, exploration and in-game content creation.
The photo zone will be accessible to players regardless of their rank or time spent in the game, giving the wider BGMI community an opportunity to engage with the Ferrari collaboration even without collecting every available vehicle.
Collaboration Available Until September 7
The Ferrari content will remain available in BGMI from July 16 to September 7, 2026.
Krafton India said further details, including trailers, event schedules and information about the rollout, would be published through BGMI’s official YouTube, Instagram and Facebook accounts ahead of the update.
Global Partnership Announced in Bangkok
The global partnership between Krafton and Scuderia Ferrari HP was announced during the opening ceremony of a global championship in Bangkok in December 2025.
The agreement was developed to introduce Ferrari’s performance identity and engineering heritage into Krafton’s gaming ecosystem while maintaining the visual standards associated with both organisations.
The collaboration also reflects the growing overlap between automotive brands and video games, where virtual vehicles increasingly serve as both collectable content and digital brand experiences. For Ferrari, the BGMI partnership offers access to a large and highly engaged Indian gaming audience; for players, it provides a rare opportunity to put a LaFerrari through its paces without troubling a showroom, a racetrack or a particularly nervous insurance company.
