Tesla has expanded its retail presence in India with the opening of its fifth Experience Center, located in HITEC City, Knowledge City Madhapur, Hyderabad. The new center will allow customers to experience the 2026 Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive and Model Y L from June 17, 2026.
The Hyderabad outlet adds to Tesla’s growing customer touchpoints in India as the electric vehicle maker continues to build its direct-to-consumer model in the country. Visitors to the new center can explore the vehicles through guided walkarounds and product experiences led by Tesla Advisors.
At the facility, customers will be able to learn about Tesla’s design approach, electric vehicle technology, safety features and performance capabilities in an interactive environment. For a brand that has long encouraged people to imagine the future of mobility, the idea is simple: let the cars do most of the talking, preferably without range anxiety joining the conversation.
Alongside the new Experience Center, Tesla has also commenced delivery and after-sales operations in the Bollaram Industrial Area. The facility is intended to support customers across Telangana and provide a smoother ownership experience after purchase.
The 2026 Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive, recently launched for India, offers seating for up to five passengers and 2,138 litres of storage space, aided by power-folding seats. The SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and offers a range of up to 500 km on the WLTP cycle.
Tesla has priced the Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive at ₹50,89,000 in India. The company said the model is available with a down payment of ₹6,00,000 and monthly EMI starting from ₹39,990, subject to financier approval. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in July 2026.
The Hyderabad center will also showcase the Model Y L, an all-wheel-drive SUV positioned as a family-focused electric vehicle. The Model Y L features a three-row, six-seat layout and is designed to maximise headroom, legroom and passenger comfort.
The Model Y L offers a claimed range of up to 681 km on the WLTP cycle, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.0 seconds and provides cargo space of up to 2,539 litres. It is available at a starting price of ₹61,99,000, with a down payment of ₹6,50,000 and monthly EMI starting from ₹49,990, according to the company.
Tesla said both models have received top safety ratings from several global safety organisations, including NHTSA and IIHS in the United States, Euro NCAP in Europe, ANCAP in Australia and New Zealand, and C-IASI in China.
Both the Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive and Model Y L are now available to order through Tesla’s official website. Tesla said it is also offering home charging support across all states in India to improve ownership convenience.
Customers placing orders before June 30, 2026, will be eligible for a complimentary Wall Connector, the company said.
Tesla’s India locations now include the new Experience Center at HITEC City, Madhapur, Hyderabad; Experience Center Whitefield, Bengaluru; Experience Center BKC, Mumbai; Experience Centre Aerocity, Delhi; and Tesla Center, Gurugram. Customers can also call 1-800-203-1538 to learn more about the Model Y L or schedule a test drive of the Model Y.
The expansion in Hyderabad marks another step in Tesla’s gradual retail and service build-up in India, where electric mobility is gaining momentum but still depends heavily on charging access, after-sales confidence and clear ownership costs. For Tesla, the new center gives southern India another front-row seat to its EV playbook — and for customers, one more place to ask the most Indian of car-buying questions: “What is the real-world range?”
Monthly payment is indicative and subject to financier approval. Actual figures may vary. The monthly EMI and down payment are based on a seven-year tenor and 8.5% APR under a step-up EMI plan. Other terms and conditions apply.
