Hyundai Motor UK Unveils New Bayon: Pricing and Specifications Announced

Advance, Premium, and Ultimate Trim Levels Starting from £22,480 (INR 24 lakh)

Hyundai Motor UK has officially announced the pricing and specifications for the newly updated Bayon, a crossover SUV that now features enhanced connectivity, safety, and interior upgrades. Available for order from June 6, the new Bayon boasts a bold and robust design aimed at increasing driver convenience and appeal.

Striking Exterior and Interior Upgrades

The new Bayon showcases a significant exterior upgrade, including standard LED headlights across all trims, a full-length Horizon LED DRL (daytime running lights) bar, and a redesigned front bumper with a new grille mesh design. The rear of the vehicle features LED taillights, a redesigned bumper, and new 16- and 17-inch alloy wheels. The Bayon is available in four new exterior paint colors: Vibrant Blue Pearl, Meta Blue Pearl, Lucid Lime Metallic, and Lumen Grey Pearl, bringing the total to nine color options. The Premium trim can also be customized with a two-tone paint option featuring a black roof and door mirrors.

Inside, the Bayon introduces a new Vibrant Blue interior color pack across all trims, featuring Vibrant Blue door panel and air vent accents, and contrasting stitching against the black dashboard and upholstery. Additional interior features include multi-color ambient lighting with 64 color options, a new seat pattern, and an electric tilt & slide glass sunroof.

Performance and Powertrain Options

The Bayon is powered by a 1.0 turbocharged T-GDi engine, delivering a maximum power output of 100PS. Customers can choose between a 6-speed manual transmission (6MT) or a 7-speed dual clutch transmission (7DCT), with maximum torque outputs of 172Nm and 200Nm, respectively.

Advanced Safety and Convenience Features

Standard safety features across all trims include driver, front passenger, side, and curtain airbags, Lane Follow Assist (LFA), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Forward Collision Avoidance Assist (FCA) for cars, pedestrians, and cyclists, second-generation eCall, Intelligent Speed Limit Assist (ISLA), and a rearview camera with parking sensors. Premium and Ultimate models add front parking sensors, and the Ultimate trim includes Blind Spot Collision Warning (BCW). The optional driver assistance pack, available for £800 on Premium and Ultimate models, adds Smart Cruise Control (Stop & Go), FCA 1.5, and Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist (BCA).

Trim Level Breakdown and Pricing

  • Advance Trim: Starting at £22,480, this entry-level trim includes redesigned 16-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights with dusk sensor, electric heated and folding door mirrors, LED headlights and taillights, a 10.25” drivers supervision instrument cluster, and a 10.25” touchscreen with satellite navigation, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. The Advance trim is also available with a 7-speed dual clutch transmission.
  • Premium Trim: Priced from £23,880, the Premium trim adds automatic climate control, 17-inch alloy wheels, auto-dimming rearview mirror, automatic windscreen wipers with rain sensor, front parking sensors, a rear USB C port, privacy glass, and heated steering wheel and front seats. It also offers a £500 black exterior styling option with a two-tone black roof and black door mirrors, and a 1.0T 100PS 7-speed dual clutch transmission.
  • Ultimate Trim: Starting at £25,280 (INR 27 lakh), the Ultimate trim features a BOSE Premium sound system, wireless phone charging, Blind Spot Collision Warning (BCW), a smart key with engine start button, and a glass sunroof with electric tilt & slide. The Ultimate trim is also available with a 7-speed dual clutch transmission.

Customization and Colors

The new Bayon is available in nine exterior colors, with Mangrove Green Pearl offered at no extra cost, Atlas White as a £300 option, and pearl finishes at £565. The Premium trim offers an additional £500 option for black exterior styling with a two-tone black roof and black door mirrors.

Since its debut in 2021, the Bayon has been a popular choice for those seeking SUV style in a compact package. The latest enhancements ensure that the Bayon remains competitive in the B-segment, offering an increased range of comfort, convenience, and advanced technology features.
