2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata: Not Just a Pretty Face, Now Smarter and More Skid-Happy!

IRVINE, Calif. – Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) today unveiled the price tag for the spruced-up 2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata, a beloved icon in the realm of carefree cruising. This winter, fans can lay hands on this zippy little number, now brimming with updates that promise even more grins per mile.

The Miata, a true driver’s darling, stays true to its roots with a front engine, rear-wheel drive setup. It’s powered by a Skyactiv-G 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, pushing out an eager 181 horsepower and 151 lb-ft of torque. The Miata Sport and Club versions stick to a six-speed manual transmission, while the Grand Touring offers a choice between manual and a six-speed automatic with paddle shifters.

Mazda’s tech wizards have added some new magic with the Kinematic Posture Control (KPC). It’s like a secret sauce that subtly brakes the inner rear wheel in corners, reducing body roll and making the Miata feel like an extension of your body – all without adding weight.

Steering gets a revamp too, with a new rack and reduced friction for smoother action and sharper responses when you’re attacking those corners.

Exterior-wise, the Miata’s got some fresh bling with updated LEDs front and back, and some snazzy new wheel designs. Color-wise, say hello to Aero Gray, a cool new addition to the palette.

Inside, it’s all about driver comfort and tech. There’s extra padding on the center console, a clearer gauge cluster, and a larger 8.8-inch infotainment display. Plus, Mazda’s first-ever integration of Alexa means you can boss around your car and smart home devices with just your voice.

The MX-5 Miata Sport is kitted out with safety features galore, a tilt-and-telescope leather steering wheel, and a host of other goodies. The Miata Club turns up the fun with sportier tuning, Bilstein dampers, and a new Asymmetric LSD for better control in corners. There’s also a new DSC-Track mode for closed circuit driving fun.

For the ultimate enthusiasts, the MX-5 Miata Club with Brembo BBS Recaro package throws in high-performance brakes, fancy wheels, and heated Recaro sport seats.

Top of the line, the MX-5 Miata Grand Touring mixes performance with luxury, offering additional safety features, automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers, and optional Tan Nappa leather seats.

All in all, the 2024 MX-5 Miata isn’t just a facelift; it’s a smarter, more thrilling ride that’s ready to make some new memories.
