Daytona Gets Ready for a Prancing Horse Parade: Five Ferraris Set to Roar!

DAYTONA, Florida, January 19, 2024 – This weekend, the motorsport world is set to witness a spectacle like no other at the Roar Before the 24. Daytona is not just hosting cars; it’s hosting a stampede of Ferraris! Yes, you heard it right. Five Ferrari 296 GT3s are ready to paint the town red, or should we say, race track red, in this year’s exciting prelude to the iconic 24 Hours at Daytona.

The Ferrari fleet, a vibrant mix of speed and elegance, is the Italian marque’s proud entry into the 62nd edition of the IMSA SportsCar Championship. Maranello’s finest will feature in a high-octane showdown from January 19-21, setting the stage for the much-anticipated 24-hour race on January 28.

Leading the cavalry is Risi Competizione with its star-studded lineup, ready to conquer the GTD Pro class. This team is not here just for the show; they’re eyeing the IMSA Endurance Cup, and they mean business. Conquest Racing, another name to watch, revs up for a full-season GTD challenge, marking a return to form for Ferrari in this category.

The Roar weekend also sees the debut of several new driver combinations. Expect fireworks when seasoned pros like Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado, and Davide Rigon join forces with the likes of Daniel Serra in the No. 62 Pennzoil Ferrari. This squad is not just fast; they’re furious, and they’re on a mission to make up for a near miss in 2022.

But wait, there’s more! Triarsi Competizione, Cetilar, and AF Corse are also in the fray, bringing their A-game and some of the most talented drivers in the circuit. Each team has its unique story, from Triarsi’s impressive IMSA debut last year to Cetilar’s Sebring triumph. They’re not just racing against the clock; they’re racing to make history.

As for the schedule, brace yourselves for non-stop action. The event kicks off with two practice sessions on Friday, followed by more revving and racing on Saturday, including a thrilling two-hour night practice. Sunday’s climax will be a 20-minute qualifying sprint, determining who gets the pole position for the big race the following weekend.

So, gear up, race fans! Daytona is about to witness a Ferrari frenzy, and you wouldn’t want to miss it for the world. Let’s see if the Prancing Horses can turn their roar into a victory gallop at the legendary Daytona circuit!
