Renault India updates Kiger, Triber & Kwid for 2024, aims to launch 5 new products in 3 years

New Delhi, January 9, 2024 – Renault India, a key player in the Indian automotive market, has announced its aggressive strategy under the banner of Renaulution India 2024. The French automaker aims to strengthen its foothold in India, identified as one of the four pivotal international hubs outside Europe. Renault plans to introduce five new products over the next three years, alongside a €3 billion global investment.

These launches will not only include brand new models but also next-generation versions of its popular Kiger and Triber cars. Committed to the ‘Make in India’ initiative, Renault India will continue leveraging its Chennai-based production plant, Logistics & Technology center, and Design studio, emphasizing its dedication to local manufacturing and innovation.

Venkatram Mamillapalle, Country CEO & Managing Director of Renault India Operations, expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming launches. “Our journey over the next three years will be exhilarating, with five product launches that showcase our dedication to the Indian market and introduce the new Renault brand identity,” he said.

The 2024 product range will see substantial enhancements, including more than 10 new features across three models – Kiger, Triber, and Kwid. This expansion aims to cater to a diverse customer base, introducing five new variants including India’s most affordable automatic car equipped with Easy-R AMT technology. Each variant is strategically positioned to offer great value in terms of price and content.

Key highlights of the new range include:

  • Renault Kwid 2024: This model stands out with three new dual-tone exterior body colors, making it the most extensive dual-tone range in its segment. Features like an 8-inch touchscreen Media NAV system and the RXL(O) Easy-R AMT variant position the Kwid as a highly affordable and safe choice.
  • Renault Triber 2024: The Triber will see the addition of features like a driver seat armrest, powerfold ORVMs, a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, and a wireless charger. The addition of a Stealth Black body color and a rearview camera in the RXT variant further enhances its appeal.
  • Renault Kiger 2024: The Kiger will boast semi-leatherette seats, a leatherette steering wheel, and technological upgrades like a welcome-goodbye sequence with auto-fold ORVMs. The introduction of new variants with different powertrains aims to cater to a broader market.

Renault India is also offering a 2-year standard warranty and a 7-year extended warranty on its new 2024 range. The Renaulution India 2024 plan includes the adoption of a new brand identity aligned with the global direction of Renault. The company also introduces DISHA, a revolutionary customer experience strategy focusing on digital innovation across all customer touchpoints.

Furthermore, Renault India is launching “renew,” a global preowned car business, offering certified used vehicles with customer-centric services. This initiative aims to appeal to first-time car buyers and reinforce Renault’s dedication to customer satisfaction in both new and pre-owned vehicle markets.
