Eco-Friendly Wheels: Renault UK’s New Electric Trafic Van Electrifies with Pre-Orders and Puns

Renault has unveiled the Trafic E-Tech Electric, a zero-emission van that’s revving up to redefine the way tradespeople hit the road. With a storied legacy stretching back four decades, this latest iteration is set to electrify the industry with its blend of innovation and practicality, priced from £34,500 (INR 35.95 lakh) plus VAT after the £5,000 (INR 5.21 lakh) Plug-in Van Grant.

Sporting a battery that boasts a 186-mile range and the ability to go from zero to fully charged in about an hour with rapid DC charging, the Trafic E-Tech Electric is making range anxiety a thing of the past. It comes in three sparky versions, offering a choice of two body lengths and heights, ensuring that it’s not just its environmental credentials that are flexible.

The van’s interior is a dream for those on the go, featuring an 8-inch Easy Link display for seamless smartphone integration, full LED headlights to illuminate the path forward, and safety systems that are as up-to-date as its propulsion method. With up to 8.9m^3 of load space and a towing capacity of 920kg, it’s ready to tackle any job, big or small.

Renault hasn’t skimped on the cabin comforts either. The Trafic E-Tech boasts 88 litres of in-cab storage and includes a Mobile Office, ensuring that paperwork and lunch breaks are as streamlined as its design. The first customer deliveries are slated to begin in September, with the high-roof model staking a unique position in the UK market.

This electrifying addition maintains the Trafic’s reputation as a reliable workhorse, now with an eco-friendly twist. With a wide variety of individualization options, the Trafic E-Tech Electric is not just a van, but a mobile statement on sustainability and efficiency, proving that Renault knows how to keep the current flowing in the right direction.
