BMW Group India Rolls Out Monsoon Service Initiative Ahead of Rainy Season

Gurugram: As monsoon showers begin sweeping across the country, BMW Group India has launched its annual Monsoon Service Campaign across its authorised dealer network, offering complimentary vehicle health checks and preventive maintenance services to help customers prepare their vehicles for challenging rainy-season driving conditions.

The nationwide initiative focuses on proactive vehicle care, with certified BMW technicians carrying out detailed inspections using advanced diagnostic equipment and Genuine BMW Parts. The campaign is designed to identify potential issues before they become problems—because during the monsoon, it’s better for the surprises to come from the weather than from the dashboard.

Commenting on the initiative, Hardeep Singh Brar, President and CEO, BMW Group India, said:

“At BMW Group India, we are committed to delivering a seamless and rewarding ownership experience that extends well beyond the vehicle itself. Our Monsoon Service Campaign reflects our customer-first approach and focus on proactive care, ensuring that every BMW receives the expert attention it deserves. Backed by certified technicians, advanced diagnostics and Genuine BMW Parts, we remain dedicated to offering our customers complete peace of mind and enabling them to enjoy sheer driving pleasure regardless of seasonal changes.”

The Monsoon Service Campaign has been designed to provide customers with expert guidance on vehicle care while ensuring that their vehicles remain prepared for changing road and weather conditions. At the heart of the programme is a complimentary vehicle health check conducted by certified BMW technical experts.

The inspection covers a broad range of vehicle systems that are particularly important during the rainy season. These include checks of windscreen wipers, front and rear washer systems, rain and light sensors, headlight and fog lamp alignment, horn functionality, cabin microfilters, weather strips around doors and the trunk lid, sunroof seals and drainpipes, and engine control unit (E-box) cleaning.

Technicians will also inspect electrical plug connections in the engine compartment and underbody, evaluate tyre condition—including tread depth, cuts, bulges, irregular wear and tyre pressure—and conduct a visual inspection of the exhaust system for leaks or damage. Brake pads and brake fluid will also be examined as part of the inspection.

For BMW’s battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), the campaign includes additional checks of the charging cable, high-voltage charging socket and underbody components to identify any signs of damage, corrosion or wear.

BMW said all complimentary inspections are supported by advanced diagnostic tools and are carried out by certified technicians to ensure thorough vehicle assessment and maintenance recommendations. Customers can schedule appointments in advance at their nearest authorised BMW workshop and receive personalised guidance on monsoon vehicle care.

Alongside the seasonal campaign, BMW India noted that it regularly conducts service initiatives across the country to help customers maintain their vehicles throughout the year. As part of its BMW Joy Rewards programme, owners of BMW cars that are more than five years old will also be eligible for special discounts, with details available at participating service camps.

With increasingly unpredictable weather and heavy rainfall becoming a familiar feature of India’s monsoon season, preventive maintenance is gaining importance for vehicle owners. BMW’s annual campaign reflects a broader industry focus on reducing seasonal wear and enhancing vehicle safety through timely inspections and expert aftersales support.
