Hyundai India Makes Festive Driving Sweeter: Price Cuts up to ₹2.4 Lakh as GST Rate Drop Rolls In

Gurugram – It looks like the festive season just got an early ignition spark. Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has announced that it will pass on the full benefit of the Government of India’s GST rate reduction on passenger vehicles to customers, effective 22nd September 2025. Translation: buying a Hyundai is about to pinch your wallet a little less, and your neighbor’s envy a little more.

The price reductions — reaching up to ₹2.4 lakh — will make Hyundai cars and SUVs even more accessible to Indian buyers. For those still debating whether to upgrade from their decade-old hatchback, this might be the perfect time. After all, nothing says “Happy Navratri” quite like a brand-new Creta parked under fairy lights.

Commenting on the announcement, Unsoo Kim, Managing Director, Hyundai Motor India Limited, said:

“We sincerely appreciate the progressive and far-sighted move by the Government of India to reduce GST on passenger vehicles. This reform is not only a boost to the automotive industry but also a strong step towards empowering millions of customers by making personal mobility more affordable and accessible. As India moves forward on the path of Viksit Bharat, Hyundai remains committed to aligning with the nation’s growth ambitions by ensuring our cars and SUVs continue to deliver value, innovation and joy of driving.”

A Festive Recipe: Lower Taxes, Lower Prices, Higher Smiles

The timing couldn’t have been better. As families prepare to spend on lights, sweets, and slightly overenthusiastic fireworks, Hyundai is ensuring that the big-ticket item also comes with a little extra cheer. Industry watchers predict that these cuts will help not only Hyundai but also give the broader automotive market a healthy turbo boost during the festive rush.

So, whether it’s the trusted Grand i10 Nios for the city runs or the feature-loaded Alcazar for that Delhi-to-Jaipur road trip, Hyundai is rolling out cars with more affordability baked in. If GST was a pothole for buyers, Hyundai just filled it with smooth asphalt.
