Hyundai Hits April High: 51,902 Domestic Sales Power 17% Growth as VENUE Steals the Spotlight

Gurugram — Hyundai Motor India Limited has kicked off the new financial year with a confident stride—and perhaps a celebratory rev—by registering its highest-ever domestic April sales since inception. The company clocked an impressive 51,902 units in April 2026, marking a robust 17% year-on-year growth.

While the numbers themselves are headline-worthy, the real showstopper this month is the ever-popular Hyundai Venue. The compact SUV recorded its highest-ever monthly domestic sales at 12,420 units, proving once again that in India’s crowded SUV party, the Venue still knows how to grab attention—and parking spots.

Adding to the momentum, HMIL also reported export volumes of 13,708 units in April 2026, reinforcing its strong global footprint. Clearly, it’s not just Indian roads where Hyundai cars are making their presence felt.

Commenting on the milestone, Tarun Garg, Managing Director & CEO of HMIL, noted that the company has carried forward its strong performance into the new financial year with confidence. He highlighted that the 17% growth and record April sales reflect the growing acceptance of Hyundai’s evolving product lineup.

Recent product updates—including models like the Hyundai Exter, Hyundai Verna, Hyundai Ioniq 5, and the ever-dependable Hyundai Creta Summer Edition—have clearly struck the right chord with buyers. Special editions like the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Vibe Edition and Venue Knight Edition have also added a dash of style to the mix, because let’s be honest—Indians do love a good “limited edition” badge.

Safety, too, has played a key role in boosting buyer confidence. The Venue and Venue N Line securing a 5-star rating under Bharat NCAP has further strengthened Hyundai’s safety credentials—because performance is great, but peace of mind travels shotgun.

As Hyundai accelerates into FY2026, the company remains focused on delivering future-ready mobility solutions, enhanced safety, and a customer experience that aims to be as smooth as its latest automatic gearboxes.

In short, Hyundai’s April wasn’t just about numbers—it was about setting the tone for the year ahead. And if this is just the opening lap, competitors might want to fasten their seatbelts.
