Accelerated Momentum: Honda Cars India Drives into 2025 with Record January Sales and 7% Growth

New Delhi:
Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL), a leading name in the premium automobile segment, has kick-started the new fiscal year with impressive numbers. The company registered total sales of 12,304 units in January 2025, comprising 7,325 domestic sales and 4,979 exports.

The robust January performance has bolstered HCIL’s cumulative figures for the ongoing fiscal, with a total of 103,944 units sold between April 2024 and January 2025—a notable 7% increase compared to the previous fiscal period.

Reflecting on the sales surge, Kunal Behl, Vice President, Marketing & Sales at Honda Cars India Ltd., remarked,

“We started the new year with many refreshments in our product line-up. The recently launched All-New 3rd Gen Amaze and Elevate Black Edition have received a great response from the market and are positively contributing to our increased volumes from January. We also just launched a new Apex Edition of the Honda City which aims to continue this upward momentum.”

For context, during January 2024, HCIL recorded 8,681 domestic sales and 4,531 exports, with a cumulative total of 97,164 units sold between April 2023 and January 2024. The year-over-year improvement highlights the market’s positive reception to Honda’s strategic refreshes and new model introductions.

As Honda Cars India continues to navigate a competitive automotive landscape, its strategic focus on innovation and product diversification appears to be paying dividends. The company’s ability to not only meet but exceed previous performance benchmarks signals a promising future for its market share both in India and abroad.

With fresh models like the All-New 3rd Gen Amaze, Elevate Black Edition, and the newly introduced Apex Edition of the Honda City, industry observers expect HCIL to maintain its momentum and set even higher sales targets as the fiscal year unfolds.
