Nation Mourns the Loss of Visionary Leader: Ratan Tata Passes Away Peacefully

Mumbai, October 9 – India woke up to the heartbreaking news of the passing of Ratan Naval Tata, one of its most iconic business leaders and philanthropists, whose legacy extends far beyond the corporate world. Tata Sons chairman N. Chandrasekaran expressed his grief and paid tribute to the legendary figure who had shaped not only the Tata Group but also impacted the nation profoundly.

“It is with a profound sense of loss that we bid farewell to Mr. Ratan Naval Tata, a truly uncommon leader whose immeasurable contributions have shaped not only the Tata Group but also the very fabric of our nation,” Chandrasekaran stated. “For the Tata Group, Mr. Tata was more than a chairperson. To me, he was a mentor, guide, and friend. He inspired by example. With an unwavering commitment to excellence, integrity, and innovation, the Tata Group under his stewardship expanded its global footprint while always remaining true to its moral compass.”

Mr. Tata’s dedication to philanthropy and societal development was unparalleled, with initiatives spanning education, healthcare, and social welfare, leaving an indelible mark on millions of lives. Chandrasekaran highlighted Tata’s humility and genuine interactions with everyone he encountered, underscoring the essence of his leadership.

During this time of grief, we request privacy as we come together to honor his memory,” read the heartfelt message signed by Simone Tata, Jimmy Tata, Noel Tata, Aloo Tata, Shireen Jejeebhoy, Deanna Jejeebhoy, Leah Tata, Maya Tata, Neville Tata, Manasi Tata, Jamset Tata, and Tiana Tata.
