Texas-based hypercar maker delivers thrilling, driver-focused experience with 1,817 bhp manual roadster.
Sealy, Texas – In an announcement that has sent shockwaves through the hypercar community, Hennessey Special Vehicles has unveiled the Venom F5-M Roadster, the most powerful manual production car ever built. With an astonishing 1,817 bhp and a gated six-speed manual transmission, the Venom F5-M promises an unrivaled driving experience that puts the driver at the heart of the action.
Hennessey’s latest creation is a re-engineered version of their iconic Venom F5, designed to amplify the raw sensation of driving. At the core of this beast is a Fury V8 engine, paired with a manual transmission that demands full attention from its driver. According to Hennessey CEO and founder, John Hennessey, this car is not just about speed but about full-body immersion into the driving experience. “It’s old school, it’s badass, and it offers ultimate driving engagement,” Hennessey said, emphasizing that the manual gearbox allows for a visceral connection between the driver and the car.
This new model introduces more than just mechanical updates. Extensive re-engineering and design changes have been implemented, including aerodynamics enhancements like a prominent 55-inch dorsal fin that runs from the roof-mounted air scoop to the rear deck. Inside, the cockpit has been redesigned with a precise aluminum and carbon fiber gear shifter, set in a six-speed gate that emphasizes tactile engagement. Every element has been crafted to maximize driver feedback and control.
The Venom F5-M’s exclusivity adds to its allure. Hennessey has confirmed that only 12 of these roadsters will be produced, all of which are already sold at a starting price of $2.65 million. Each car will feature a unique, bespoke livery, ensuring that no two models are alike.
As Hennessey’s Director of Design, Nathan Malinick, highlighted, “This is a car for bold and brave driving enthusiasts who like their hypercars to thrill with wild power and dramatic design.” The team has taken inspiration from motorsport heritage, incorporating details like exposed carbon fiber and contrasting accent stripes that enhance the car’s aggressive, open-top stance.
The Venom F5-M Roadster joins an exclusive lineage of record-breaking Hennessey vehicles, standing on the shoulders of the Venom GT Spyder, which still holds the world record for the fastest convertible road car. Like its predecessor, the Venom F5-M is built to dominate, combining mind-bending acceleration with the pure thrill of a manual transmission.
Production of the Venom F5-M is underway at Hennessey’s Sealy, Texas headquarters, where the company has already delivered 24 semi-automatic Venom F5 Coupe, Roadster, and Revolution models to customers worldwide. With this latest offering, Hennessey continues to push the boundaries of performance and driving engagement, creating cars that are as thrilling to drive as they are rare to own.
