DETROIT – Chevrolet is redefining electric mobility with the introduction of the all-electric Equinox EV, designed to provide a seamless, confident, and uncompromising transition to electric vehicles (EVs). This latest addition rounds out Chevrolet’s diverse electric portfolio, which includes full-size trucks, midsize SUVs, and compact SUVs. The Equinox EV boasts an impressive EPA-estimated range of 319 miles on front-wheel-drive (FWD) models.
“We are at a pivotal moment where EVs will become the mainstream choice for the next generation of customers, and the Equinox EV will lead this charge for us,” stated Mary Barra, Chair and CEO of General Motors. “Leveraging GM’s Ultium Platform, we are introducing vehicles at nearly every price point and for every purpose.”
Starting at an MSRP of $43,295, the base model Equinox EV LT will be available for $34,995 later this year. “Chevrolet is now positioned to offer a wide array of EVs,” noted Scott Bell, vice president of Chevrolet. “Our deep understanding of truck and SUV customers has informed the development of our new EVs.”
The Equinox EV features stylish design, spacious interiors, advanced safety, and value-driven attributes that have elevated it from its gasoline-powered predecessor. Key features include a large 17.7-inch infotainment screen, a suite of standard and available driver assistance technologies, and the available Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance technology.
Expressive Design and Advanced Technology

Inside, the Equinox EV offers a modern, streamlined interior with space for five passengers, personalized multi-color ambient lighting, and a smart infotainment system with Google Built-in. It also boasts up to 57.2 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seat folded, heated seats, a heated steering wheel, and a heated windshield wiper park feature for added convenience.
Effortless EV Technology
Chevrolet is dedicated to making the EV transition smooth with features like navigation and route planning via the MyChevrolet app, which helps locate charging stations. GM’s collaboration with industry partners is expanding accessible public charging across North America, offering customers access to over 174,000 public chargers in the U.S. and Canada.
Safety and Performance
The Equinox EV prioritizes safety with standard features like Chevy Safety Assist, Rear Park Assist, Reverse Automatic Braking, and more. It also offers Super Cruise, allowing hands-free driving on over 400,000 miles of compatible roads in the U.S. and Canada.
Performance-wise, the Equinox EV includes a standard FWD system with an estimated 213 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque, with an AWD option providing 288 horsepower and 333 lb-ft of torque. The vehicle features One-Pedal Driving and regenerative braking to maximize driving range.
Charging capabilities include:
- Standard 11.5 kW Level 2 (AC) charging, adding up to 34 miles of range per hour
- Standard DC fast-charging capability up to 150 kW, adding approximately 77 miles of range in 10 minutes
Availability and Warranty
The Equinox EV comes with an 8-year/100,000-mile battery warranty and standard bumper-to-bumper coverage. It is available now for both fleet and retail customers, produced at GM’s Ramos Arizpe, Mexico facility.
“Chevy’s fleet customers can achieve their EV goals with the Equinox EV, benefiting from zero-emissions driving and reduced maintenance,” Bell added. “It’s an affordable game-changer offering an uncompromising experience without the need for gas stops.”
