Mumbai: Volkswagen India is celebrating the fourth anniversary of the Virtus in India with special benefits and exclusive customer offers across its network, as the premium sedan continues to be one of the brand’s key volume drivers in the country.
Launched in 2022, the Volkswagen Virtus has grown into one of the company’s most popular models in India. According to Volkswagen India, the sedan has consistently led the premium sedan segment for more than two years and has maintained strong customer interest since its debut.
To mark the anniversary, Volkswagen India has announced a series of benefits across the Virtus variant range. These include a “Buy Now & Pay Later” scheme, loyalty benefits, special anniversary celebration benefits and exclusive offers for doctors and chartered accountants.
The company said it has sold one Virtus nearly every 24 minutes since the model’s launch in 2022 — a statistic that gives the sedan’s showroom performance a rather punctual German rhythm. Volkswagen added that the momentum has continued in 2026, with the Virtus contributing significantly to sales volumes.
Customer demand, the company said, has been led by the GT variants and automatic powertrains, reflecting a preference among buyers for performance-oriented versions and convenience-focused drivetrains.
Nitin Kohli, Brand Director, Volkswagen India, said, “Celebrating 4 years of the Virtus is a proud milestone for Volkswagen India. It reflects the trust our customers have placed in the brand and the enduring appeal of the Virtus. We are grateful to every customer who has been part of this journey. As we celebrate this milestone, these special anniversary benefits, including exclusive offers for Doctors and Chartered Accountants, are our way of thanking our customers and welcoming more enthusiasts to the Volkswagen family.”
The Virtus continues to be positioned as a premium sedan offering bold design, a spacious cabin, responsive TSI engines and a strong road presence. Volkswagen India also highlights the model’s engineering, safety and build quality as key factors in its appeal among sedan buyers.
At a time when SUVs dominate much of India’s passenger vehicle market, the Virtus’ four-year run underlines that the sedan still has room to breathe — especially when backed by performance, space and a badge that continues to carry weight among driving enthusiasts.
