Mumbai: Tata Motors’ EV arm, Tata EV, has added a fresh twist to India’s electric SUV story with the launch of the Curvv.ev SeriesX—starting at ₹16.99 lakh. With two new variants—Accomplished X 55 and Empowered X 55—the company is clearly signalling that range anxiety should now be as outdated as a fuel pump queue on a Sunday evening.
At the heart of the Curvv.ev SeriesX lies a 55 kWh battery pack delivering an ARAI-certified range of 502 km, while real-world figures hover around a practical ~400 km. In simpler terms, this SUV-coupé is ready for intercity drives without constantly hunting for charging stations like a smartphone at 5% battery.

Built on Tata’s advanced acti.ev architecture, the Curvv.ev SeriesX produces 167 hp and 215 Nm of instant torque, ensuring brisk city drives and confident highway cruising. The highlight, however, is the lifetime high-voltage battery warranty—because nothing says “peace of mind” quite like a warranty that potentially outlasts your ownership tenure.
Visually, the Curvv.ev continues its bold SUV-coupé stance, now offered in five colour options including the striking Nitro Crimson, alongside the ever-popular #Dark edition—because black, as always, remains the unofficial colour of “premium.”
The Accomplished X 55 variant focuses on comfort and everyday usability. It comes equipped with an openable panoramic sunroof, dual 26.03 cm displays, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a 360-degree camera system with blind-spot monitoring. Inside, Tata introduces R-Comfort seats with passive ventilation, leatherette upholstery, and rear sunshades—making traffic jams feel slightly less like punishment.
For those who believe “more is more,” the Empowered X 55 steps in as the flagship. It adds active seat ventilation, a 6-way powered driver seat, reclining rear seats, and a larger 31.24 cm infotainment system powered by Harman. The JBL 9-speaker audio setup ensures your playlist sounds as premium as the car looks, while Level 2 ADAS with 20 features adds a layer of intelligence to daily driving.
The feature list doesn’t stop there. From V2L and V2V capabilities with a frunk, to gesture-controlled powered tailgate and smart lighting animations, the Curvv.ev SeriesX seems determined to remind buyers that EVs are not just about efficiency—they’re about experiences.
With this launch, Tata has streamlined the Curvv.ev lineup into clearer, feature-rich personas, making it easier for buyers to choose without needing a spreadsheet and a calculator. More importantly, it strengthens Tata’s grip on India’s rapidly evolving EV space, where range, features, and value are now locked in a three-way battle.
In short, the Curvv.ev SeriesX doesn’t just aim to go the distance—it intends to make sure you enjoy every kilometre of it, preferably without checking your battery percentage every five minutes.
