New Delhi: VinFast is clearly done playing it small in India. The Vietnamese EV maker has launched the all-new VF MPV 7 at ₹24.48 lakh (Ex-Showroom one India one price), a spacious electric seven-seater that seems tailor-made for Indian families where “just one more person” is never really the last one.
With this launch, VinFast Auto India marks its third product introduction within a year, signaling serious intent in one of the world’s fastest-growing EV markets. And this time, it’s not just about electrification—it’s about making sure everyone from dadi to the family dog has a comfortable seat.
The VF MPV 7 is built around a simple but powerful insight: in India, space is not a luxury, it’s a necessity. With a generous 2,840 mm wheelbase and a thoughtfully designed theatre-style three-row seating layout, the MPV ensures that even the third row isn’t treated like a punishment zone. Add to that a flexible boot capacity that stretches up to 1,240 litres, and you’ve got a vehicle ready for everything from grocery runs to full-blown wedding logistics.

Powering this family mover is a 60.13 kWh lithium-ion battery delivering an ARAI-certified range of 517 km, which means fewer charging stops and fewer “are we there yet?” moments. Fast charging from 10 to 70 percent in just 30 minutes ensures that even when you do stop, it won’t be for long. With 150 kW of power and 280 Nm of torque sent to the front wheels, the MPV manages a 0-100 km/h sprint in under 10 seconds—quick enough to surprise unsuspecting SUVs at traffic lights.
On the outside, the VF MPV 7 carries a bold and clean design language, highlighted by signature V-shaped LED lighting and a modern, upright stance. The large glass area enhances visibility while also making the cabin feel airy—something Indian summers will quietly appreciate.
Step inside, and the cabin reflects a minimalist yet premium approach. With leatherette upholstery, a D-cut multifunction steering wheel, and a clean dashboard dominated by a 10.1-inch infotainment screen, the MPV strikes a balance between practicality and sophistication. Connectivity features like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a ViVi virtual assistant ensure that even the tech-savvy members of the family stay entertained.
Comfort features go beyond the usual checklist. Dedicated AC vents for the third row, automatic climate control with PM 2.5 filtration, and even a “camp mode” that keeps systems running while stationary show that this EV is designed for real-world usage, not just showroom admiration.
Safety hasn’t taken a back seat either, with features like ESC, traction control, hill start assist, and four airbags forming a comprehensive safety package. It’s a reassuring setup for a car that’s likely to carry precious cargo—family.
Backing the product is an equally strong ownership package, including a 10-year battery warranty, 7-year vehicle warranty, and 3 years of free maintenance. In a market where peace of mind is often as important as the car itself, VinFast seems keen to tick all the right boxes.
Speaking on the launch, VinFast India CEO Tapan Ghosh highlighted that the VF MPV 7 is designed specifically for large families, offering space, comfort, and intelligent features to make long journeys effortless. And if Indian road trips have taught us anything, “effortless” is a word worth chasing.
The VF MPV 7 joins the VF 6 and VF 7 in VinFast’s growing India portfolio, with local assembly at its Thoothukudi facility in Tamil Nadu. Alongside product expansion, the company is rapidly scaling its retail footprint, targeting 75 showrooms and over 230 service workshops across India by the end of 2026.
With initiatives like free EV charging through the V-Green network until 2029 and a value-assured buyback program of up to 75 percent, VinFast is not just selling cars—it’s selling a transition.
And if the VF MPV 7 delivers on its promise, Indian families might just find that going electric finally comes with enough seats for everyone… including that one cousin who always shows up unannounced.
