Driving Innovation: Tata Motors and DIMO Unveil New ICE and EV Portfolio in Sri Lanka

Colombo – In a significant stride towards redefining mobility in Sri Lanka, Tata Motors, India’s pioneering automobile manufacturer, in collaboration with DIMO, has launched an all-new range of passenger vehicles, including both Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) and Electric Vehicles (EV).

A New Wave of SUVs and EVs

The much-anticipated launch event saw the introduction of Tata Motors’ celebrated SUV lineup: the dynamic Tata Punch, the versatile Tata Nexon, and the futuristic Tata Curvv. In addition to this robust ICE range, Tata Motors also introduced the Tiago.ev, an electric hatchback designed to make EV technology accessible to a broader audience in Sri Lanka.

Showcasing EV Leadership

To demonstrate Tata Motors’ leadership in the electric vehicle market, the brand also gave attendees an exclusive preview of the Punch.ev, Nexon.ev, and Curvv.ev models. This strategic move aligns with the company’s commitment to sustainable mobility solutions that combine innovation, style, and performance.

Commitment to Safety, Technology, and Performance

“We are excited to be in Sri Lanka, unveiling a transformative product lineup that merges innovation with safety and comfort,” said Yash Khandelwal, Head of International Business at Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd. “With bold designs, cutting-edge features, and unmatched after-sales support, we aim to redefine the driving experience in Sri Lanka. The Tiago.ev, in particular, has already gained prominence across India, Nepal, and Bhutan, and we are confident it will create a similar impact here.”

DIMO’s Ongoing Dedication to Customer Satisfaction

Rajeev Pandithage, Executive Director of DIMO, expressed his enthusiasm for this milestone, noting, “As the first passenger vehicle brand to enter Sri Lanka post-market reopening, Tata Motors’ latest ICE and EV range brings unmatched value in terms of innovation and sustainability. With DIMO’s renowned after-sales support, we assure Sri Lankan customers of a superior ownership experience.”

Robust After-Sales Support and Service

All ICE vehicles will be backed by a three-year or 100,000 km warranty, while Tata’s electric vehicles will carry a three-year or 125,000 km warranty. Additionally, the EV high-voltage battery and motor are covered for eight years or 165,000 km. Customers will further benefit from DIMO’s 24/7 island-wide roadside assistance, expert technical support, and tailored service solutions to ensure a seamless ownership journey.

Revolutionizing Sri Lanka’s Automotive Landscape

With Tata Motors’ innovative designs and DIMO’s proven commitment to customer care, this launch is poised to revolutionize the Sri Lankan automotive market. The new Tata passenger vehicle range is now available starting from LKR 8.7 Mn at DIMO branch networks nationwide.
