Racing Star Valtteri Bottas Shifts Gears with Unique Uber Carshare Experience for Aussie Adventurers

In an unexpected yet thrilling partnership, Formula One sensation Valtteri Bottas has teamed up with Uber Carshare to offer a one-of-a-kind travel experience for Australians looking to hit the road this Easter. Dubbed as the honorary Aussie, Bottas is putting his ‘second’ car on the platform for free, transforming the idea of a road trip into an unforgettable adventure.

Starting Friday, 22 March through to 12 April 2024, Melbourne residents will have the exclusive chance to book Bottas’ customised ute, equipped with everything from mullet aeration technology to a meat pie warmer, ensuring the ultimate Aussie road trip. This unique offering comes straight from the heart of Bottas, who has embraced Australia as his second home during the off-season.

“I’ve received so much love from this beautiful country; lending my ‘second’ car for an epic road trip is my way of giving back,” Bottas shared, outlining the array of modifications designed to cater to every Australian’s adventure needs.

Uber Carshare (formerly Car Next Door) Co-founder, Will Davies, highlighted the timing of the initiative, aligning perfectly with the Easter long weekend and school holidays—a peak period for getaways. With over ten thousand vehicles tailored for road trips available across the country, Uber Carshare positions itself as the go-to for those seeking the perfect ‘second’ car for their travels.

For those unable to secure Bottas’ ute, there’s still hope. The F1 star has personally selected ten other vehicles on Uber Carshare, each receiving the “VB seal of roadtrip-approval” for the quintessential Aussie journey. The first to book these vehicles will be treated to a special VB ‘road trip kit’, adding an extra layer of excitement to the adventure.

Bottas’ collaboration with Uber Carshare not only showcases his love for Australia but also brings a new level of excitement and accessibility to exploring the country’s breathtaking landscapes. It’s a rare opportunity for fans and adventure-seekers alike to engage with a sports icon in an entirely new way, making this Easter holiday one for the books.
