The Tesla Model 3, an American compact sedan, was launched in 2017 as the first generation of its kind. It also sports a 15.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system lacking Apple CarPlay and Android Auto but includes numerous Tesla-specific features like navigation, internet browsing, and an expansive suite of autopilot features.

With top ratings from NHTSA, Euro NCAP, and IIHS, safety is a hallmark of the Model 3. It includes features like automatic emergency braking, blind spot collision warning, and eight airbags. The car has won numerous awards including Car of the Year and Electric Car of the Year across various countries.

Interior and Comfort
The interior is minimalist yet luxurious with options for black leatherette or white upholstery, ambient lighting, and both heated and ventilated front seats. Additionally, there’s an optional rear touchscreen and a high-quality sound system featuring 17 speakers.

The Model 3 offers a 82 kWh lithium-ion battery with two electric motors that deliver a top speed of 201 km/h and a range of up to 629 km. A smaller 57.5 kWh battery option is also available in the rear-wheel drive variant, which offers a 513 km range. It supports fast charging up to 250 kW, allowing for a 70% charge in just 27 minutes with a DC charger.

Practicality
The car offers a generous 679 litre boot space, additional 88 litre ‘frunk’, and various accessories like roof racks and floor mats, enhancing its utility. The Model 3’s production investment was substantial, approximating ₹21,000 crores, emphasizing Tesla’s commitment to its success.

Although there have been several issues reported with the Model 3, Tesla has been prompt in addressing these through over-the-air updates, maintaining high customer satisfaction.
