Cupra Born Price Plunge Powers Up UK EV Market

Milton Keynes, 27/02/24 – In a shock to the electric vehicle (EV) market, Cupra has turbocharged the accessibility of its flagship EV, the Cupra Born, with an electrifying £2,350 (INR 2.47 lakh) slash in prices across the board. The move, sparking joy among UK drivers, now sees the entry model starting at a more wallet-friendly £34,125 (INR 35.87 lakh).

But that’s not all! In a bid to simplify their electric offerings, Cupra is streamlining the Cupra Born range. The 58kWh 204PS variants across all trims, along with the 77kWh 230PS on the V2 trim, and the V2 and V3 Edition trims, are now retired from new factory orders. The lineup will soon welcome the freshly announced Cupra Born VZ, further revving up the excitement.

The price plummet means the new entry point for the Cupra Born is now £35,085 for the V1 58kWh 230PS model, undercutting the old price of its 204PS counterpart. The larger battery option also sees a price dip, with the V3 77kWh 230PS now starting at £41,385, less than the former V2 77kWh variant.

This £2,350 reduction is not just a teaser; it’s available for both new factory orders and stock orders, including the models heading for retirement. And hang tight, the pricing details for the Cupra Born VZ are revving around the corner!

Cupra isn’t just stopping at price cuts. They’re upping the ante with a suite of purchase incentives. Options include a 0% APR for 36 months or a hefty £4,000 deposit contribution on a 3.9% APR for 48 months for orders placed before 2 April 2024. Plus, every Retail purchase made and handed over by 31 March 2024 comes with a free Ohme home charger and a £750 pre-paid Mastercard.

And there’s more! Orders placed before 2 April 2024 will be treated to a complimentary Cupra eCare plan, covering the first two years of servicing at any authorized Cupra Retailer.

The Cupra Born’s zippy performance and urban agility recently earned it the crown in the Best Small Electric Car to Drive category at the WhatCar? Car of the Year Awards 2024, for the second consecutive year. With these bold moves, Cupra is not just selling cars; they’re sparking an EV revolution!
