Mumbai, April 22, 2024 – Volkswagen India heralds a new era for car enthusiasts with the introduction of the Taigun GT Line and Taigun GT Plus Sport, enhancing its already robust portfolio with sporty aesthetics and high performance. These models, part of the newly minted ‘Sport’ line, were showcased at the Volkswagen Annual Brand Conference in March and have now hit the market with a starting price of INR 14.08 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Taigun GT Line and INR 18.53 lakh (ex-showroom) for the GT Plus Sport.
The Taigun GT Line brings sportiness to the masses with its 1.0L TSI turbocharged engine, complete with sporty black themed interior and exterior enhancements, R17 alloy wheels, and a 25.65cm touchscreen infotainment system. It also features darkened LED headlamps with DRLs and six airbags, ensuring that safety goes hand-in-hand with style.
Meanwhile, the Taigun GT Plus Sport is designed for the driving enthusiast with a 1.5l TSI EVO engine, available in both 6-speed manual and 7-speed DSG transmission. It elevates the experience further with unique interior and exterior sporty features like red ambient lights, aluminium pedals, and black leatherette seat covers with red stitching.
Both models include a complimentary 4-year Service Value Package (SVP), underscoring Volkswagen’s commitment to customer satisfaction and value. Deliveries are set to commence this month, promising to meet the high demand following their successful debut.
