This exclusive offering, limited to a symbolic 1,965 vehicles, celebrates the enduring legacy and the evolution of the Mustang since its debut at the 1964 New York World’s Fair. Available on the 2025 Mustang GT Premium model, the Anniversary edition is an elegant nod to the past while accelerating into the future, available in both coupe and convertible body styles.
Drawing profound inspiration from the 1965 Mustang GT, the Anniversary package incorporates iconic design elements such as fender badges, stripes, and wheels that have been reimagined for the modern era. “The goal was to encapsulate the essence of the ’65 Mustang, melding classic charm with contemporary flair,” explained Stefan Taylor, Ford’s senior designer.
Under the hood, the Anniversary edition doesn’t shy away from power, boasting the GT Premium’s 5.0-liter V8 engine, compatible with both manual and automatic transmissions. Yet, it’s the exterior where the homage truly shines. Special 60th Anniversary badges, unique 20-inch wheels in Dark Gravity Gray with Vermillion Red center caps, and exclusive side graphics available in Iconic Silver or Vermillion Red, all contribute to a design that’s as timeless as it is forward-looking.
Further distinguishing this edition are new grille designs, smoked housing for the standard Mustang Nite Pony headlights, and mirror caps in Iconic Silver on Race Red and Vapor Blue cars, reminiscent of the chrome mirrors of the past. Color options for the exterior paint include classic Wimbledon White, modern Race Red, and Vapor Blue, while the interior offers choices of Space Gray, Carmine Red, or Black Onyx.
Ford has also included a serialized 60th Anniversary instrument panel badge inside the car, underscoring the exclusivity and significance of this limited edition. According to Matt Simpson, General Manager of Ford Enthusiast Vehicles, “This multi-generational tribute showcases Mustang’s design DNA at its peak, uniting the original Mustang’s most special design elements with the latest in our limited production run.”
