New Delhi, April 2, 2024 – In a significant update to its product lineup, Kia India, the nation’s leading premium car manufacturer, announced the launch of the refreshed 2024 Carens. This latest iteration introduces a new 6-speed manual transmission variant powered by the U2 1.5 VGT engine, expanding the model’s trim offerings to a total of 30.
The Carens lineup now includes the newly launched 1.5 Diesel MT variant, with prices starting at INR 12,66,900. This expansion not only reinforces Kia’s commitment to offering a diverse range of options to its customers but also strengthens the Carens’ position as a leader in its segment.
Further enhancing the Carens’ appeal is the updated X-Line model, which now boasts premium features like a dashcam, voice-command operated auto up & down windows, and the option for 7-seat configurations. The X-Line, first introduced in October 2023, represents the pinnacle of luxury and exclusivity within the Carens range.
The introduction of the Prestige +(O) variant brings to the forefront features such as a sunroof, LED map and room lamps, and options for both 6 and 7 seating arrangements. The Prestige (O) variant, priced at INR 1,211,900, offers remarkable value with its inclusion of a smart key with push-button start, LED rear combination lamp, LED DRLs, and a positioning lamp.
Additionally, the Premium (O) trim enhances the overall driving experience with keyless entry, an 8” D/Audio system, a shark fin antenna, steering wheel-mounted controls, burglar alarm, and improved safety features. All models now come equipped with a 180W charger, an upgrade from the previous 120W charger, emphasizing Kia’s focus on customer convenience.
In line with offering more customization options, the Carens introduces a new color option – Pewter Olive, further expanding the color palette to 8 monotone, 3 dual-tone, and 1 exclusive color for the X-Line variant.
