Mitsubishi Unleashes Outlander: The PHEV GSR Edition Races to the Top with Dazzling Two-Tone Paint Job

March 7th, 2024, Australia – The automotive world is buzzing with excitement as Mitsubishi Motors Australia Limited (MMAL) catapults the Outlander series to dazzling new heights with the introduction of the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV GSR. As if emerging from the pages of a high-octane graphic novel, this latest marvel boasts a bespoke interior, an exterior that turns heads, and an exclusive paint option that mixes Red Diamond with a Black Mica roof, redefining the medium SUV segment’s style quotient.

Shaun Westcott, the CEO of MMAL, couldn’t contain his enthusiasm, stating, “The GSR badge is more than just letters; it’s a symbol of Mitsubishi’s commitment to sportiness, style, and sophistication. And the Outlander PHEV GSR is the epitome of all three.” Set to dazzle showroom floors starting March 2024, and with a price tag starting from $73,790 plus on-road costs, this electrified trailblazer is ready to plug into the hearts of Australian drivers.

The Outlander PHEV GSR reimagines Mitsubishi’s design language by embracing the dark side. The vehicle’s captivating exterior features black finishes on the front and rear bumper skid plates, grille mouldings, door mirrors, belt lines, and more, creating a striking contrast against the Red Diamond / Black Mica rooftop. This shadowy ensemble is completed with black 20-inch alloy wheels and special GSR tailgate badging, ensuring it stands apart in the crowded SUV arena.

Inside, the Outlander PHEV GSR continues its theme of contrast with luxurious silver stitching adorning the instrument panel trim, door trims, and seats, set against a backdrop of black interior elements. This creates a cabin atmosphere that’s as visually striking as it is comfortable.

The Outlander PHEV GSR is not just about looks; it’s packed with a comprehensive suite of safety systems under the MiTEC banner, including the latest MI-PILOT driving assistant technology. This system enhances the vehicle’s Adaptive Cruise Control and introduces Lane Keep Assist, Traffic Jam Assist, and Speed Limit Assistance with Traffic Sign Recognition, promising a driving experience that’s as safe as it is enjoyable.

All Mitsubishi Outlanders, including the PHEV GSR variant, come with the 10/10 Diamond Advantage warranty and capped price servicing program, providing peace of mind with a 10-year / 200,000-kilometre manufacturer’s warranty and up to four years of complimentary roadside assist.

As Mitsubishi continues to innovate and electrify its lineup, the Outlander PHEV GSR stands as a testament to the brand’s enduring legacy of creating vehicles that are both exciting and reliable. With its arrival, the roads are set to get a little more electrified and a lot more stylish.
