Hennessey’s Herculean Handiwork: ‘H700’ Corvette Convertible Goes Beyond the Extraordinary

Sealy, Texas (February 27, 2024) – In a thrilling display of automotive alchemy, Hennessey has transformed the Chevrolet C8 Corvette Stingray hard top convertible (HTC) into a behemoth of speed and power. Dubbed the ‘H700’, this supercharged sensation is redefining the limits of America’s beloved mid-engine sports car.

The standard Corvette C8 Stingray, with its mid-mounted LT2 6.2-liter V8 engine, delivers a respectable 490 bhp and 630 Nm of torque. But Hennessey, never content with ‘respectable’, has taken this American classic and endowed it with a staggering 708 bhp and 865 Nm of torque. That’s a Herculean increase of 44 percent in horsepower and 37 percent in torque, propelling the H700 past the celebrated Corvette Z06 in the race for raw power.

At the heart of this transformation is a meticulously engineered supercharger, snugly fitted into the HTC’s compact engine compartment. Paired with an air-to-water intercooler and a robust cat-back exhaust system, the H700 is a testament to Hennessey’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of performance.

John Hennessey, the mastermind behind this audacious project, comments: “We’ve not just tuned the C8 Convertible; we’ve unleashed a power beast. With more than 200 bhp added, the H700 is a thrilling ode to American muscle and engineering ingenuity.”

This power-packed upgrade isn’t just about the internals. The H700 package also offers aesthetic delights, including an active-valve exhaust system, forged 19-inch alloy wheels, and the striking ‘Hennessey C8 Heritage Livery’. Available in a palette of vibrant colors and finishes, these options ensure that the H700 looks as formidable as it performs.

Hennessey’s magnum opus is available for all 2020-2024 Chevrolet C8 Corvette Stingray Coupes and HTC models. With the backing of a comprehensive three-year / 36,000-mile limited warranty, the H700 isn’t just a powerhouse; it’s a testament to Hennessey’s confidence in their unparalleled craftsmanship.

In a world where the extraordinary is increasingly sought after, the Hennessey H700 Corvette stands as a beacon of exceptional performance, a roaring tribute to the art of automotive enhancement.
