Las Vegas, CES 2024 – In an electrifying reveal at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024, Mercedes-AMG, in collaboration with famed artist and entrepreneur, introduced the MBUX Sound Drive. This innovative technology marks a new era in automotive entertainment, blending advanced software with musical creativity to enhance the driving experience in Mercedes-AMG vehicles.

MBUX Sound Drive is more than just a sound system; it’s an interactive platform that transforms the Mercedes-AMG car into a virtual musical instrument. As the driver navigates the vehicle, the system’s advanced software responds to driving dynamics—like acceleration, braking, and steering—to alter and create music in real time. This feature not only elevates the driving experience but also enables drivers to ‘compose’ their soundtrack on the move.

Mercedes-AMG aims to evolve MBUX Sound Drive into an open music platform, allowing artists globally to craft tracks in this new immersive audio format. The technology is set to roll out from mid-2024, available on Mercedes-AMG and Mercedes-Benz models equipped with the second-generation MBUX system. An over-the-air update will also be available for existing Mercedes customers.
