BMW India celebrates golden jubilee of the 3 Series with ultra-exclusive ‘50 Jahre’ Editions

Gurugram – They say life begins at 50, and the BMW 3 Series seems determined to prove it. To mark half a century of being the benchmark for driving pleasure, BMW India has launched the ‘50 Jahre’ Edition of the BMW 330Li M Sport and the BMW M340i — each limited to just 50 units. Yes, exclusivity so tight, even parking spots in South Delhi feel less scarce in comparison.

Collectibles on Wheels

The ‘50 Jahre’ Editions aren’t just cars; they’re rolling souvenirs. With laser-engraved ‘1/50’ badging on the B-pillars, these machines whisper, “I’m rare, please don’t scratch me in the mall parking.” Each M340i buyer also gets a 1:18 scale model of the legendary BMW 3.0 CSL — because when you spend nearly ₹77 lakh on a car, a toy car is the least you deserve.

BMW 330Li M Sport ‘50 Jahre’ Edition

Draped in Mineral White, Skyscraper Grey or M Carbon Black, this long-wheelbase sedan pairs boardroom comfort with racetrack DNA. Carbon fibre trim, high-gloss black shadowline, a head-up display with 3D augmented navigation, and a panoramic sunroof ensure that even traffic jams feel premium. Powered by a 258 hp TwinPower Turbo engine, the 330Li still manages a 0–100 km/h sprint in 6.2 seconds — fast enough to embarrass most hot hatchbacks at the stoplight.

India’s favourite performance car just got an even sharper suit. Black M-badged fenders, gloss-black badging, special hubcaps, and M Performance touches make the M340i look like it’s ready to eat autobahns for breakfast. Under the hood lurks a 374 hp straight-six engine, catapulting the car from 0–100 km/h in 4.4 seconds. To put it simply: blink, and it’s gone — possibly with your heart rate.

A Legacy Like No Other

Launched in 1975 to replace the iconic BMW 02, the 3 Series carved a niche as the world’s go-to sports sedan. Seven generations later, it remains BMW’s best-selling model and a global symbol of performance-meets-practicality. As Mr. Vikram Pawah, President & CEO of BMW Group India, aptly put it: “The 3 has always been about pure driving joy. The 50 Jahre Editions are both a tribute and a teaser — celebrating the past while hinting at thrilling miles ahead.”

Price Tags That Age Like Wine

Of course, this doesn’t include road tax, RTO fees, or the emotional cost of neighbours asking for test drives.
