Six Wheels, Zero Subtlety – Brabus XLP 800 6×6 Adventure Goes Full Jurassic Park on Luxury Off-Roading

Stuttgart: Forget “go big or go home” — Brabus just built something that could tow your home, your neighbour’s home, and possibly a small country. Meet the Brabus XLP 800 6×6 Adventure, the unapologetically over-the-top evolution of the already ridiculous G-Class. It’s what happens when engineers, caffeine, and a ‘why not?’ attitude collide.

From G-Wagen to G-Wagon-Train

Based on the Mercedes-AMG G 63 (W 465 series), this beast isn’t just a facelift — it’s a full body stretch. The steel ladder frame is extended by a casual 153 cm, reinforced with a custom steel module tough enough to survive the collapse of civilisation. Why? To make space for an extra axle, obviously. Because four wheels are for hatchbacks.

Powertrain: V8 Biturbo Meets “Are You Serious?”

Under the hood lurks a 4.0-litre V8 biturbo, tuned to 800 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque. That’s enough to launch this six-wheeled condo from 0–100 km/h in 5.8 seconds — impressive, considering it has the aerodynamic profile of an armoured bank vault. Top speed is capped at 210 km/h, not because it can’t go faster, but because the off-road tyres would file for early retirement.

Portal Axles & 47 cm Ground Clearance

Yes, you read that right — forty-seven centimetres. That’s almost knee-height for an average adult, and just shy of making speed bumps an endangered species. All three axles use portal technology, with a fully independent front setup, billet aluminium components finished in Brabus red, and suspension so adjustable it could probably match your mood swings.

Design: Carbon, LEDs, and More Carbon

The Widestar fenders, power dome hood, and tailgate accents are all visible carbon fibre — because weight saving is important when your car weighs roughly as much as a small bungalow. LEDs light up everything from the running boards to the Brabus logos, ensuring you can be spotted from space. The winch up front can pull 4,500 kg, which is handy if you accidentally get stuck… in another vehicle.

Interior: Luxury Cabin or Private Members’ Club?

Inside, it’s an all-black leather affair with “Dual Cube” stitching, over 200 interior parts finished in Rocket Red, and enough high-gloss carbon to make a race car blush. The cargo bed? Crafted from pre-preg carbon fibre, because Brabus knows your camping gear should feel just as pampered as you do.

The Brabus XLP 800 6×6 Adventure is not a vehicle for blending in — it’s for making the Himalayas feel like a driveway. It’s absurd, it’s glorious, and it’s probably the only pickup in the world that could pull your yacht and carry it in the back.
