Toyota India Accelerates Into 2025 with 19% January Sales Surge and Strategic Expansion

Bangalore:
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has kicked off 2025 on an impressive note, reporting a robust 19% increase in sales for January. The company sold 29,371 vehicles in January 2025 compared to 24,609 units during the same month last year, underscoring a growing market presence bolstered by its customer-first approach.

A closer look at the figures reveals that TKM achieved 26,178 domestic sales along with 3,193 exports. This strong performance is largely attributed to the company’s balanced and diversified product lineup, which notably includes the much-lauded All New Camry Hybrid—an offering that has continued to captivate the market.

Varinder Wadhwa, Vice President of Sales-Service-Used Car Business & Profit Enhancement, commented on the success:

“The New Year has started on a positive note with trends from last year continuing to set the course for us in 2025. I’m grateful to see the positive response from our customers to the balanced and robust product lineup, including the newly launched All New Camry Hybrid which continues to enthral the market.”

Looking ahead, TKM is poised to further strengthen its foothold in India by deepening its commitment to customer centricity. The company plans to enhance customer engagement through innovative value-added services and seamless after-sales support, ensuring a delightful experience for every customer. Additionally, TKM’s product strategy remains focused on a multi-pathway approach that aims to meet diverse mobility needs, while rigorous efficiency measures will continue to drive operational excellence.

In a significant strategic move, TKM recently launched its wholly owned subsidiary, Toyota Mobility Solutions and Services India Ltd. (TMSS). This new venture is set to revolutionize India’s pre-owned car market by upholding Toyota’s core values of quality, durability, and reliability across both new and pre-owned segments.

The company also made waves at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Under the visionary banner “Happier Path Together,” the Toyota pavilion not only showcased its commitment to sustainable growth but also highlighted advanced technologies that are steering the market towards a future of carbon neutrality. This holistic approach reflects Toyota’s global mission to drive sustainable mobility and contribute positively to societal wellbeing.

As Toyota Kirloskar Motor continues to build on its success, the roadmap for 2025 is clear: deliver innovative, customer-focused solutions while embracing sustainable practices to meet evolving market demands.
