Visteon Corporation (NASDAQ: VC), a global leader in automotive cockpit electronics and connected car solutions, today unveiled its latest Global Capability Center (GCC) in Kolkata. Scheduled to become operational by January 2025, the center will serve as a vital hub for advancing automotive technology, with a particular focus on Android-based infotainment and cockpit software development.
This new facility marks Visteon’s seventh technical center in India, solidifying the country’s role as a critical player in the company’s global innovation strategy. The center will initially accommodate 300 engineers by 2026, with plans to expand to over 500 engineers in the next two to three years. It will focus on cutting-edge areas such as autonomous vehicle solutions, cybersecurity, multimedia & remote projection, and cloud technologies, further establishing Kolkata as a Center of Excellence (CoE) for Android-based automotive solutions.

The facility, designed with sustainability in mind, has achieved USGBC LEED Platinum certification and features solar panels and water recycling systems to support energy efficiency and environmental stewardship.
