Renault Expands its C-Segment Lineup with the New Symbioz, Starting at £29,295
Renault has unveiled its latest addition to the C-segment, the Symbioz, which is now available to order with prices starting at £29,295 OTR (INR 31.28 lakh). Positioned between the Captur and Austral, the Symbioz aims to fortify Renault’s presence in the compact car market, offering a versatile and family-friendly option tailored to modern needs.
Trims and Powertrain
The Symbioz is available in three trims: Techno, Techno Esprit Alpine, and Iconic Esprit Alpine. Under the hood, it features the E-Tech full hybrid 145 powertrain, which combines a 39 kW electric motor, an 18 kW high-voltage starter generator (HSG), a 1.2 kWh battery, and a 95 bhp 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol engine. This configuration ensures a blend of performance and efficiency, with CO2 emissions rated at just 105g/km.
Innovative Design and Technology
Reflecting Renault’s legacy of innovative design, the Symbioz incorporates advanced features for comfort and connectivity. It includes the OpenR Link multimedia system with Google built-in and a Solarbay tinted glass roof. The top-tier Iconic Esprit Alpine trim offers 24 new-generation driving aids, enhancing safety and driving comfort.
Practicality and Versatility
Despite its compact length of 4.41 meters, the Symbioz provides ample space and practicality. The boot offers up to 624 liters of storage, and the rear seat can slide by 16 cm to create a flat floor when fully folded. This adaptability makes it an ideal choice for both families and businesses.
Safety and Driver Assistance
The Symbioz is equipped with a comprehensive suite of safety features across all trims. Standard equipment includes ABS with EBA, distance warning alert, active emergency braking with urban and pedestrian detection, driver attention alert, adaptive cruise control with a speed limiter, and front and rear detection with emergency lane keep assist.
Enhanced Comfort and Connectivity
The interior of the Symbioz is designed for comfort and convenience. The Techno trim includes 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights and wipers, a frameless auto-dimming rearview mirror, automatic air conditioning, and a 10.4-inch OpenR Link touchscreen. The Techno Esprit Alpine trim adds 19-inch alloy wheels, sports pedals, a heated steering wheel, and more advanced driver assistance features. The top-of-the-line Iconic Esprit Alpine trim includes a Solarbay sunroof, 360° 3D camera, hands-free parking, and a premium Harman Kardon audio system.
Pricing and Availability
The Renault Symbioz is now available to order, with the first customer deliveries expected in September 2024.
