Dubai’s Finest Go Fast and Furious: New Lamborghini Urus Performante Joins Police Fleet

Dubai, UAE – In a striking blend of speed and law enforcement, the Dubai Police has just added a new member to its fleet: a Lamborghini Urus Performante. This move, part of an ongoing collaboration with Lamborghini Dubai, was celebrated at a grand ceremony during the Dubai Airshow 2023.

Paolo Sartori, the Regional Head of Automobili Lamborghini Middle East and Africa, proudly handed over the keys of this Super SUV to Major General Ahmed Mohammed bin Thani, the acting commander-in-chief of Dubai Police. This handover symbolizes the continued partnership between Lamborghini and Dubai Police, aiming to bolster public safety and security in the city.

This isn’t just any SUV. The Urus Performante is equipped with a twin-turbo V8 engine boasting a staggering 666 CV power and 850 Nm of torque, allowing it to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 3.3 seconds, with a top speed of 306 km/h.

But it’s not all about raw power. The vehicle has been tailored to the specific needs of Dubai Police. Its distinctive livery – a classic combination of green and white – is accentuated with police logos. A 360° LED light bar and electric siren have been fitted to the rear spoiler. Inside, it’s a police officer’s dream: an armoured gun box, a fold-down message display, a special compartment in the boot for storing service equipment, and even a defibrillator for emergency situations.

Major General Ahmed Mohammed bin Thani expressed his gratitude for this addition to their fleet. He highlighted the Urus Performante’s role in enhancing the police presence across Dubai, especially in popular tourist destinations, and its contribution to maintaining social safety and security.

This exciting addition marks another year in the successful partnership between Lamborghini Dubai and Dubai Police, further cementing Dubai’s reputation as a city where even the police drive in style.
