2026 Audi Q3 Launched in India at ₹51.99 Lakh; Gets Quattro AWD, Digital Matrix LED Headlights and Nine Airbags

Mumbai: German luxury carmaker Audi has launched the all-new Audi Q3 in India at an introductory price of ₹51.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The latest generation of the compact luxury SUV introduces updated styling, a technology-focused interior, an improved suite of safety features and a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine paired with quattro all-wheel drive. The SUV is locally assembled at the SAVWIPL manufacturing facility in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra.

The new Q3 represents an important addition to Audi India’s luxury SUV portfolio, combining everyday practicality with sophisticated digital technology and performance-oriented engineering.

2.0-Litre TFSI Engine With Quattro All-Wheel Drive

Powering the all-new Audi Q3 is a 2.0-litre TFSI turbocharged petrol engine producing 150 kW (approximately 204 PS) and 320 Nm of torque. According to Audi, the SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds.

The engine is paired with Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive system, designed to distribute power between the wheels for improved traction and stability under varying driving conditions.

The Q3 also features progressive steering and Audi drive select, offering five driving modes: Balanced, Dynamic, Comfort, Efficiency and Offroad+. These modes allow drivers to adjust the vehicle’s driving characteristics according to their preferences and road conditions.

Additional driving features include comfort suspension, hill hold assist and downhill assist, aimed at improving stability and ease of operation on gradients.

New Exterior Design and Advanced Micro-LED Headlights

One of the most notable technological upgrades on the new Audi Q3 is its Digital Matrix LED headlight system, incorporating 25,600 individual micro-LEDs, each measuring approximately 40 micrometres.

The system supports lane and orientation lighting functions, four selectable daytime running light signatures and dynamic lighting sequences with three light projections.

At the rear, the Q3 features LED rear lights pro and illuminated Audi rings, adding a distinctive visual element to the SUV’s design.

Other exterior highlights include 18-inch five-arm aero alloy wheels finished in black with gloss-turned surfaces, electrically adjustable and heated exterior mirrors with folding, auto-dimming and memory functions, a panoramic sunroof and projection lights integrated into the exterior mirrors.

Audi is offering the new Q3 in five exterior colours: Sage Green, Mythos Black, Glacier White, Navarra Blue and Tambora Grey. Buyers can choose between two interior colour themes, Tamarind Brown and Pergament Beige.

Digital Cockpit Takes Centre Stage

Inside, the all-new Audi Q3 introduces the brand’s digital stage panoramic display layout, combining a 30.22 cm Audi Virtual Cockpit with a 32.51 cm MMI touchscreen.

A head-up display projects important driving information into the driver’s field of vision, reducing the need to look away from the road.

Audi has also introduced a redesigned integrated switch module that relocates several conventional controls from the centre console. A lever on the right handles gear selection, while the lever on the left operates lighting, windshield wipers and cleaning functions.

This arrangement creates additional space in the centre console while giving the cabin a cleaner appearance.

The SUV features a twin-spoke sport leather steering wheel with a flat top and bottom, multifunction controls and shift paddles.

For entertainment, the new Q3 receives a Sonos premium audio system comprising 12 high-performance speakers and a 420-watt amplifier. It offers Neutral, Concert, Lounge and Podcast sound profiles, alongside a customisable setting.

Other technology features include wireless smartphone connectivity, wireless charging, USB interfaces with higher charging capacity and an ambient lighting system offering 30 colour choices.

Front acoustic glazing is also included to reduce external noise entering the cabin.

Improved Rear-Seat Comfort and Everyday Convenience

Audi has equipped the new Q3 with electrically adjustable front seats, including a memory function for the driver’s seat.

Rear passengers benefit from adjustable seat recline and a sliding seat function, allowing occupants to balance legroom and luggage capacity according to their requirements.

The cabin also features leather and artificial leather upholstery and three-zone deluxe automatic climate control.

Convenience features include park assist plus with a rear-view camera, a convenience key and an electrically operated luggage compartment lid.

Another useful addition is reversing assist, which can remember a previously driven reverse route of up to 50 metres, helping the driver manoeuvre out of confined spaces.

Nine Airbags and Advanced Driver Assistance

Safety equipment is another major focus of the all-new Audi Q3, which comes equipped with nine airbags and a selection of advanced driver-assistance technologies tailored for the Indian market.

These include adaptive cruise control, front emergency brake assist and a driver attention and fatigue monitoring system.

Additional safety and security equipment includes seat belt pretensioners and anti-theft wheel bolts.

The combination of active driving assistance and passive occupant protection forms an important part of the Q3’s updated safety package.

Audi Q3 Continues Local Assembly in Maharashtra

The latest-generation Audi Q3 will be assembled at the SAVWIPL plant in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, continuing the local manufacturing arrangement established with its predecessor.

Speaking about the launch, Piyush Arora, MD & CEO, SAVWIPL, highlighted the importance of the model to the company’s manufacturing operations in India.

He said, “Like its predecessor, the new Q3 is being produced here in India, at our state-of-the-art Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar facility. This is a strong demonstration of the capabilities we have built within SAVWIPL, reinforcing that India plays a dual role for us, not only as a major growth market, but as a key manufacturing and engineering hub.”

The launch event also saw the presence of Martin Sander, Board Member for Sales and Marketing at Audi AG.

Viktoria Kaufmann-Reiger, Senior Director, Sales Overseas, AUDI AG, described his participation as an indication of the growing importance of India to the German manufacturer.

Balbir Singh Dhillon, Brand Director, Audi India, emphasised the role of the Q3 in attracting customers to the brand.

“The Audi Q3 has long been an important gateway to the Audi brand in India, and we are delighted to introduce its most progressive iteration yet,” Dhillon said.

Ownership Packages and Extended Warranty Options

Audi India is introducing several ownership and after-sales packages alongside the new Q3.

Customers can opt for roadside assistance coverage extending up to 15 years, Service Value packages offering coverage for up to 10 years and extended warranty packages covering up to 10 years.

The company is also offering financing options with tenures extending up to 10 years, balloon payment structures designed to reduce monthly instalments and various assured buyback programmes.

As an introductory benefit, buyers can choose between two-year and five-year Comprehensive Service Value Packages with a 2+3-year extended warranty arrangement, according to the company.

Audi Q3 Price and Market Positioning

With an introductory ex-showroom price of ₹51.99 lakh, the new Audi Q3 continues to occupy an important position in the company’s Indian product lineup.

Its combination of a 204 PS turbocharged petrol engine, quattro all-wheel drive, Digital Matrix LED lighting, digital cockpit technology and nine airbags brings significant equipment upgrades to Audi’s compact luxury SUV offering.

The launch also reinforces Audi’s commitment to local assembly and its efforts to address evolving expectations among Indian luxury car buyers.

As competition in the premium SUV segment increasingly revolves around digital features, comfort, safety and driving performance, the new Q3 demonstrates how Audi intends to remain relevant in a market where buyers expect substantially more than a prestigious badge on the bonnet.
