Maruti Suzuki’s ‘eParivartan’ Initiative Drives Social Impact, Reaches Over 8,700 Lives in FY26

Gurugram / New Delhi: While most people associate Maruti Suzuki India Limited with cars that dominate Indian roads, its employees are quietly clocking miles of a very different kind—measured not in kilometres, but in kindness.

In FY2025–26, the company’s flagship volunteering initiative eParivartan saw over 1,100 employees contribute more than 2,600 hours, positively impacting the lives of over 8,700 individuals. That’s a lot of goodwill—arguably more heartwarming than a perfectly executed parallel park.

The initiative spanned over 30 community activities, covering everything from healthcare to education and youth engagement. In the health and community care space, employees rolled up their sleeves—quite literally—for blood donation drives across offices and manufacturing facilities. They also assembled wheelchairs from kits, which were later donated to shelter homes, proving that sometimes the most meaningful engineering happens off the production line.

Volunteers went beyond logistics, offering food, medicines, and essential supplies to those in need, while also spending time with the elderly and underprivileged through companionship programmes. In a world dominated by screens and schedules, this human connection stood out as the real premium feature.

Education and youth engagement formed another strong pillar of the initiative. Children from underprivileged backgrounds were invited to visit the Manesar manufacturing facility, where exposure to large-scale production sparked curiosity and, perhaps, a few future automotive engineers in the making. Employees also engaged with specially-abled children through inclusive art sessions and supported visually impaired students with learning interactions and Braille kits.

One of the most heart-touching elements was the ‘Wish Tree’ initiative, where employees fulfilled the wishes of over 300 underprivileged students—delivering school bags, stationery, and toys. Safe to say, this was one “delivery” that didn’t require a logistics partner, just a generous heart.

Adding a splash of colour—literally—volunteers also undertook school beautification drives, painting over 1,400 sq. ft. of wall space in government schools across Manesar and Gurugram, making classrooms brighter and a little more inspiring.

Commenting on the initiative, Rahul Bharti, Senior Executive Officer, Corporate Affairs, noted that while the measurable impact reached thousands, the emotional impact on volunteers themselves was equally significant—calling the experience “soul-warming and life-changing.”

Maruti Suzuki’s broader CSR focus continues to revolve around road safety, skill development, and community development. And while the company may be known for building reliable cars, initiatives like eParivartan show it is equally committed to building stronger communities—one volunteer hour at a time.
