Mumbai: Volkswagen India will hold its first Volkswagen Experiences (VWe) Track Day on October 10 and 11, 2026, at the CoASTT racetrack in Coimbatore, bringing together customers, performance-car owners and automotive enthusiasts for two days of track driving, driver training and community activities.
The new experiential platform is intended to give participants an opportunity to explore vehicle performance in a professionally managed environment while developing their driving skills under expert supervision.
The inaugural event will feature owners of Volkswagen’s performance-oriented models, including the Golf GTI, Tiguan R-Line, Tayron R-Line, Virtus GT and Taigun GT. Automotive enthusiasts, media representatives and members of Volkswagen India’s leadership team are also expected to participate.
Track driving, autocross and driver training
Volkswagen has planned a mix of on-track and off-track exercises aimed at drivers with different levels of experience.
Activities will include lead-and-follow track sessions, autocross challenges, slalom exercises, off-road obstacle courses, go-karting, vehicle handling demonstrations and professional driving instruction.
The company said the sessions will focus on helping drivers better understand vehicle dynamics while placing an emphasis on safe and responsible driving practices.
In other words, the weekend promises plenty of enthusiasm, but with instructors ensuring that ambition does not arrive at the corner several metres before ability.
Technical sessions and owner interactions
The programme will extend beyond driving activities.
Participants will also have access to technical masterclasses, networking sessions for Volkswagen owners and other lifestyle-focused activities. Dedicated hospitality areas, family-friendly experiences and interactive brand activities will form part of the event.
Volkswagen also plans recognition programmes highlighting selected owner stories and achievements.
The company said the initiative is designed to strengthen engagement with customers beyond conventional vehicle ownership and create a community around driving and performance.
Volkswagen expands customer experience programme
The Coimbatore event will mark the beginning of a broader series of curated driving and ownership experiences under the Volkswagen Experiences platform.
Through the initiative, Volkswagen India is seeking to provide customers with more opportunities to experience its vehicles outside everyday road conditions while developing greater familiarity with vehicle handling and performance.
For Volkswagen, the programme also reflects a wider industry trend in which carmakers are increasingly looking beyond the showroom and service centre to build longer-term relationships with owners. A racetrack, after all, offers rather more room to explore a car’s abilities than the average Monday morning commute.
