Tata Expands Curvv Range With Series X, Prices Start at ₹9.99 Lakh

Mumbai: Tata.Cars has launched the Curvv Series X in India at a starting price of ₹9.99 lakh, expanding the SUV coupé’s line-up with revised feature combinations across Smart X, Pure X, Creative X and Accomplished X variants.

The new range is positioned as an extension of the Series X approach introduced with the Curvv.ev earlier this year, with Tata reorganising features and equipment across variants to offer buyers more choice at different price points.

Among the key additions is the Curvv Series X Pure X, priced from ₹10.99 lakh. It comes equipped with a 10.25-inch Ultra View infotainment system by Harman, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control, Smart Key with PEPS, LED lighting and six airbags.

The Pure X+ costs an additional ₹80,000, taking its price to ₹11.79 lakh. Tata has also made the #DARK edition available from the Pure persona, with prices starting at ₹11.99 lakh.

Further up the range, the company lists the Creative X at ₹12.91 lakh. It adds an AeroView panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree surround-view camera with Blind View Monitor, dual-tone 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and a leatherette cabin with reclining rear seats.

The introductory summary issued by Tata separately lists the Creative + X Persona at ₹12.90 lakh. The detailed product information in the same announcement refers to the Creative X at ₹12.91 lakh.

Introducing the Curvv Series X, Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., said:

“Curvv changed the way India thinks about SUV design the moment it arrived. With the new Curvv Series X, we are making that proposition even stronger by bringing together striking SUV Coupé design, engaging SUV performance, generous comfort, premium features and class-leading safety at an even more compelling price point. Starting at ₹9.99 lakh, Curvv Series X offers outstanding value without compromise, making the Curvv experience accessible to an even wider set of customers while staying true to the distinctive character that has made it one of the most admired SUVs in the segment.”

Smart X focuses on core safety and convenience

The entry-level Smart X places emphasis on safety and everyday usability. Six airbags, electronic stability programme (ESP) and LED lights are standard, while the equipment list also includes Multi Drive Modes, a digital instrument cluster and reverse-guide parking assist.

It provides the foundation for the expanded Series X range, leaving the increasingly lengthy creature-comfort list to the variants above it.

Pure X and Pure X+ add connectivity and comfort

The Pure X builds on the Smart X with the 10.25-inch Harman infotainment display, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control, fully automatic climate control, push-button start, auto-folding ORVMs and rear AC vents.

The Pure X+ adds leatherette seats, 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, a 360-degree surround-view system, LED fog lamps with a cornering function and additional seat adjustability.

It can also be specified in the #Dark edition, which brings blacked-out exterior and interior elements.

Creative X+ brings panoramic sunroof and digital cockpit

The Creative X+ moves further towards the premium end of the Curvv range with an AeroView voice-assisted panoramic sunroof, automatic headlamps and rain-sensing wipers.

It also receives a digital cockpit with navigation, tyre-pressure monitoring system, wireless smartphone charger, front parking sensors and an illuminated cooled glove box.

In other words, this is the point in the range where the equipment list starts becoming nearly as long as the variant name.

Accomplished X and X+ sit at the top of the range

The Accomplished X and Accomplished X+ variants add several technology, comfort and safety features, including ventilated front seats, a six-way powered driver seat and a nine-speaker JBL sound system.

They also feature twin-zone climate control, the Breathe IQ air purifier, premium interior finishes and mood lighting.

Technology additions include Tata’s iRA connected-car system, Alexa integration, bi-function full-LED headlamps, an electronic parking brake with Auto Hold and an electrochromic inside rear-view mirror.

The flagship Accomplished X+ additionally receives a gesture-controlled powered tailgate and an Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite.

With the Series X, Tata is effectively broadening the Curvv’s price-and-feature spread rather than changing its underlying formula. The SUV coupé continues to combine its distinctive body style with a progressively richer equipment list, while the ₹9.99 lakh starting price gives Tata another way to attract buyers in an increasingly crowded Indian SUV market.
